Child care and protection
At the Launching Ceremony of the Month of Action for Children and the 7th Binh Duong Children's Festival in 2023. The Organizing Committee and sponsors presented 1,250 gifts from the Provincial Children's Fund and 40 gifts from the People's Committee of Dau Tieng District to children in difficult circumstances. Each gift is worth 1,655 million VND, including 300,000 VND in cash, 1 gift worth 300,000 VND and a free medical examination voucher worth 1,055 million VND. The total value of the gifts is more than 2 billion VND. In addition, the Provincial Youth Union also presented 10 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Hang - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong said that in 2022, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong advised the Provincial Leaders to organize a delegation to visit and present gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households and children in special circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. On the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, the province visited and presented 2,207 gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances in the community, each gift worth 200,000 VND from the state budget. Districts, towns and cities arranged funds and mobilized visits and presented 16,679 gifts and scholarships to children in difficult circumstances in the locality, with a total cost of 3,605,987,000 VND.
On the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, the province visited and presented 2,207 gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances.
In addition, the Provincial Children's Support Fund organized the 6th "Children's Day June 1" program to present 1,050 gifts and medical examination and treatment vouchers to children in difficult circumstances, orphans, disabled children, visually impaired children, and children affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the province with a total cost of VND 1,050,000,000.

Maintain regular meetings to assess the implementation of child protection and care at the district level. Particularly for commune, ward and town levels, quarterly meetings are organized, including representatives of the People's Committee, relevant sectors and organizations, and officers in charge of child protection and care and child protection and care collaborators to promote the effectiveness of the activities of the network of collaborators and promptly deploy and report on the implementation of child protection and care in each area and hamlet.

In 2022, continue to maintain the activities of 118 "Community-based Protection and Assistance for Children in Special Circumstances" Clubs in the areas and hamlets of districts, towns and cities. The Clubs are established according to the Decision of the People's Committee of the commune or ward with the attached operating regulations. Each club has at least 20 participants who are representatives of sectors and organizations such as: the executive board of the area, hamlet, police, Fatherland Front, women, youth union, Red Cross, veterans, the elderly, child protection and care collaborators, medical collaborators, etc. Activities to protect and assist children in special circumstances such as: activities to assist abandoned children, orphans without shelter, children with disabilities; activities to prevent and assist street children, children who have to do hard, dangerous work, exposed to toxic substances; activities to prevent and assist children who are sexually abused, abused; activities to prevent and assist juvenile offenders.
Preventing child abuse
The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has organized specialized training on preventing and combating violence and child abuse for more than 2,000 parents and students in 11 communes and towns of Phu Giao district. Organize 10 training courses on the Law on Children, prevention of violence against children, prevention of child injuries for over 900 parents and child care workers in Thu Dau Mot city.
