Binh Dinh hosts UMI F1H2O International Powerboat Race

The Formula 1 World Championship (also known as F1) is organized by the International Motor Boat Federation (Union Internationale Motonautique - UIM) and promoted by H2O Racing, so it is often shortened to F1H2O. The race will be held for the first time in Vietnam on an international scale this March at Thi Nai Bay, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh.

F1H2O is the ultimate experience for adventure speed lovers . Vietnam has a coastline of up to 3,260km, so fans are familiar with special sports such as swimming, kayaking, parasailing, SUP, scuba diving... But the most special, novel, and attractive is the Formula 1 (F1) Powerboat World Championship - F1H2O. This is the highest level of speedboat racing in the world and therefore, it shares the same title as F1, similar to F1 racing. The appeal of water racing with the highest format: speed, adventure, competitive rules. Each official race usually lasts about 45 minutes. Each lap is more than 2,000m long, machines with a total weight of up to 400kg compete together at speeds of up to 250km/h. Not only is it attractive because of the acceleration, cornering on every meter of water, thereby finding the fastest finisher of the lap, fastest stage, but the collisions also create a unique attraction for F1H2O. In terms of rules, the race is divided into 3 days. Day 1 is qualifying, day 2 is sprint and day 3 is deciding. The results of each day have a direct impact on the final result, so viewers will see the athletes show off their best skills. Vietnam is a candidate for the 2024 championship . For the first time, Vietnam has the honor of hosting the UIM-ABP Aquabike (March 22-24) and UIM F1H2O (March 29-31), even more special when the 2 races are part of the Amazing Binh Dinh Fest Week event series to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Dinh Province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2024).
