In 2024, the district's economic sector had positive changes, with the total product value reaching more than 14,000 billion VND, an increase of 6.47% over the same period. Agricultural production was regularly focused on and closely directed, growing quite well over the same period, with the annual food output reaching 228,527/218,500 tons, reaching 104.58% of the Resolution target. Industry, small-scale industry, and basic construction continued to maintain stable production and business activities; the growth rate was quite good and increased by 7.48% over the same period.

The district has 28/32 schools meeting the prescribed standards. The district maintains and maintains universal education, eliminates illiteracy; effectively streams students after graduating from junior high school. The district has done a good job of protecting, caring for and improving people's health. Population work has achieved outstanding results for 3 consecutive years, from 2022 to 2024, achieving excellent results in the population movement, and was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Provincial People's Committee. In 2024, the rate of people participating in health insurance reached 94.46%.

Up to now, the Standing Committee of Thu Thua District Party Committee has led and closely directed the organization of the plan to arrange and reorganize the merged agencies and units to come into operation from March 1, 2025 under the direction of the Central and the province. After organizing and implementing the plan to arrange the staff, civil servants and public employees of the agencies and units subject to arrangement and merger, there are 2 cases that have implemented the regimes and policies according to Decree No. 177/2025/ND-CP, and 5 cases according to Decree No. 178/2025/ND-CP.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Quyet praised the results that Thu Thua district has achieved in the past time and hoped that the district would continue to promote and perform better in the coming time. Regarding the existing shortcomings and limitations, he suggested that the district should be proactive and resolute in overcoming them immediately, especially focusing on compensation, site clearance and land acquisition.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet also noted some contents that the district should focus on implementing in 2025: Continue to maintain and strengthen internal construction, well implement the principle of democratic centralism, subordinates obey superiors, superiors must be exemplary; leaders achieve high results in implementing assigned tasks; pay attention to planning work, high-tech agricultural development, developing crops and livestock as strengths of the locality; prioritize investment in industry, attract investment to create jobs for people; industry must develop with infrastructure, build important connecting routes to create connections in socio-economic development; do a good job of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, creating high consensus from the grassroots,...

In addition, he also requested the district to deploy and implement Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee to the grassroots level, strengthen political and ideological education for cadres and party members to ensure their ideological peace of mind, and continue to perform well the tasks set out in 2025.
