Growing sweet potatoes using Eco-Nanomix fertilizer technology, in the 2024 potato crop, farmers in Gia Lai province harvested 28 tons/ha; the profit margin was 2.7 times compared to fields fertilized in the usual way.
In 2023, introduced by friends, Mr. Nguyen Van Sang (Phu Hoa town, Chu Pah district, Gia Lai province) tried and tested the new generation NPK fertilizer with Eco-Nanomix technology for 1 hectare of sweet potato.

Mr. Sang uses the yellow-fleshed Japanese sweet potato variety, grown on upland - hilly garden land (light loam soil) where there is a source of irrigation water during the dry season. Sweet potatoes are intercropped in a 1-2 year old rubber garden, using water-saving drip irrigation.
Mr. Sang's sweet potato growing model uses the new generation NPK fertilizer with Eco-Nanomix technology with dosage and application time according to the instructions of the technical staff of Binh Dinh Agricultural Technical Materials Joint Stock Company. In order to test the effectiveness of the new technology fertilizer, Mr. Sang and the technical staff of Binh Dinh Agricultural Technical Materials Joint Stock Company built a control field.
In both the model and control fields, 400 kg of organic microbial fertilizer (expanded organic fertilizer) and 400 kg of phosphate fertilizer were applied before planting.
During the cultivation process, the model field used 1,450 kg of Eco-Nanomix NPK fertilizer specifically for sweet potatoes (NPK 16-6-18 + 1Mg + TE Nano), fertilizing 3-4 times. Meanwhile, the control field also used 1,200 kg of NPK 16-16-8 fertilizer and 250 kg of potassium fertilizer. According to the assessment, the cost of fertilizer investment is the same.
The cost of seeds, fertilizers, growth stimulants, pesticides, land preparation costs, labor costs and water-saving system costs are the same with an investment level of 127.8 million VND/ha.
After 5 months of planting, the yield of commercial tubers in the model field was 27 tons/ha, 6 tons/ha higher than the control (equivalent to an increase of 28.6%). With the price of commercial sweet potato tubers in 2023 being only 10,000 VND/ kg (low compared to previous years), the net profit reached 142.285 million VND/ha, 60.085 million VND/ha higher than the control, equivalent to an increase of 73.1%; the profit margin was 1.1 times.

From the fact that the model only used 1 type of fertilizer for top dressing (NPK 16-6-18 + 1Mg + TE Nano), while the control used 2 types of fertilizer (NPK 16-16-8 and single Potassium fertilizer), it was seen that it was convenient and also gave high economic efficiency.
From that effectiveness, in the 2024 sweet potato crop, Mr. Sang applied NPK Nano fertilizer specifically for sweet potatoes on an area of 11 hectares, also on 1-2 year old rubber garden land. Thanks to production experience and compliance with the use of NPK Nano fertilizer, the commercial tuber yield this crop reached 28 tons/ha, an increase of 6.5 tons/ha compared to mass production.
This year's sweet potato crop was a bumper crop and had good prices, so the net profit was 348.285 million VND/ha, exceeding the mass production of 110.585 million VND/ha, an increase of 46.5%. In particular, the profit margin was 2.7 times compared to the production of only 1.9 times (meaning that for every 1 VND invested, the profit was 1.9 VND).
Also in 2024, in addition to Chu Pah district, other places such as Chu Prong, Phu Thien, Mang Yang districts... of Gia Lai province also used this fertilizer for sweet potato plants.
A representative of Binh Dinh Agricultural Technical Materials Joint Stock Company said that the amount of fertilizer that the company has supplied to farmers has increased many times compared to last year. Farmers have gradually used specialized NPK Nano fertilizer in sweet potato growing areas in Gia Lai province.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Former Deputy Director of the South Central Coast Agricultural Science and Technology Institute said that Mat Troi Moi Fertilizer has tested new generation specialized fertilizers with Eco-Nanomix technology and tested the timing and reasonable dosage of fertilizers, so it has given good results.

Thanks to the composition, content of N, P, K, Mg and enough nano-sized trace elements, it helps sweet potato plants grow healthily, increase their resistance to adverse weather conditions and increase their resistance to pests and diseases. Thereby, it helps tubers swell, grow quickly, have large and uniform tubers, high potassium content, so they accumulate more sugar and starch... increasing productivity, increasing the quality of commercial tubers and shortening the harvest time.
"From the effectiveness of the previous crop, the 2024 sweet potato crop, farmers have trusted and put it into mass production and achieved a commercial tuber yield of 28 tons/ha, an increase of 30.2%, net profit increased by 46.5% compared to using NPK fertilizer and other single fertilizers. From here, the sweet potato growing area of Gia Lai province has a specialized fertilizer that is economically effective and reduces CO2 greenhouse gas emissions," Dr. Phuong shared.
