Closing and awarding ceremony of the 2024 reporter competition

On the afternoon of August 16, in Da Nang, Naval Region 3 held the closing ceremony of the 2024 Reporter Competition. Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Region attended and chaired. Also attending was Colonel Nguyen Thien Quan, Commander of Region 3.

After 2 days of the contest, the agencies, units and individuals participating in the contest thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the plan, instructions and organized the grassroots-level reporter contest to select truly outstanding comrades to participate in the Regional-level reporter contest.

Candidates must have a firm grasp of the skills of reporters and oral propaganda, and prepare an outline with appropriate propaganda topics; the content must be current and urgent, reflecting the burning issues of life and the unit's tasks and situations.

Many comrades prepared their presentations carefully, mastered the content, were confident, closely related to reality, skillfully combined speaking and presentation media, observed the audience's attitudes, and adjusted the presentation speed appropriately to achieve high efficiency, inspiring and encouraging the listeners and viewers.

Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien: Units continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement directives and regulations on oral propaganda work and reporting activities in the army.

In his closing speech, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Political Commissar of Naval Region 3, praised the agencies and units in the entire region and the contestants for overcoming difficulties in the conditions of the units simultaneously performing many tasks, successfully completing the progress and plan of the contest.

The Political Commissar of Region 3 requested: In the coming time, Party committees and commanders of agencies and units must continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement directives and regulations on oral propaganda work and reporter activities in the Vietnam People's Army.

From the results of the contest, the organizing units drew lessons from each level, proposed many practical measures; actively applied science and technology to innovate propaganda forms, proactively coordinated with local departments and branches to strengthen propaganda work on seas and islands; attracted human resources, contributing to fostering the will and trust of the people in the task of protecting the sovereignty of the seas and islands of the Fatherland.

The Chief of Naval Region 3 awarded awards and certificates of excellent reporters to individuals with outstanding achievements.

The results of the 2024 regional reporter competition showed that 100% of the candidates achieved good or better, of which 41.66% achieved excellent results. The organizing committee awarded 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 6 consolation prizes and 15 certificates of excellent reporters to the candidates with the best achievements in the competition.
