Officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3 run for a green Truong Sa

On November 16, in Da Nang city, agencies and units of Naval Region 3 jointly organized the launching ceremony of the running challenge “Higreen – For a green Truong Sa”. Each soldier participating in the challenge will complete at least 20km, equivalent to a contribution of 60,000 VND to the tree planting fund in Truong Sa island district.

The launching ceremony was attended by more than 2,000 officers and soldiers from agencies and units of Region 3 and officers and employees of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) Da Nang branch.

The running challenge program "Higreen - For a green Truong Sa" is organized by the Navy in coordination with MB Bank, taking place from October 1 to December 19, 2024. Participants are runners in the community who can run individually or in groups with a form of 1.5 km completed, the runners will be recognized by the Organizing Committee with 3,000 VND contributed to the tree planting fund in Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province (fund creation budget of 10 billion VND sponsored by MB).

The target for soldiers in Naval Region 3 is that during the program, each participating soldier must complete at least 20km, equivalent to a contribution of 60,000 VND to the tree planting fund in Truong Sa island district.

The program aims to spread love for the Fatherland, the sea and the homeland islands; encourage the community to actively participate in physical activities, improve health, create a widespread mass sports movement, promote a green and sustainable lifestyle. At the same time, it contributes to increasing the green area, improving the material and spiritual life of officers, soldiers and people on Truong Sa island district, practically towards celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.
