Munich is the 3rd largest city in Germany, after Berlin and Hamburg - one of the world's leading economies. If Berlin is famous for its treasures of cultural heritage and historical relics, Munich has a beauty that is both ancient and modern. Considered the most livable city in Germany, Munich is famous for its Oktoberfest beer festival. Every afternoon, restaurants and beer halls in the center of Munich are packed with customers, each mug costs from 7 Euros and up, quite expensive compared to Vietnamese beer, but many "beer lovers" in our group all commented that the beer in Munich has a different taste compared to many other delicious beers in other European countries, worth the money.

Coming to Munich, visitors will visit Nymphenburg Palace, one of the most impressive architectural works in Germany. This is also one of the most beautiful palaces in the world because of its unique harmonious combination of royal architecture and castle park. Every year, this castle attracts about 300,000 visitors. The castle was built in 1664, and was once the place where the German royal family lived in the summer. The original central building was a 5-storey square house, inaugurated in 1675. After that, the castle was gradually expanded, renovated, and 2 long rooms were added next to the main room, 2 northern buildings and 2 southern buildings nearby. The front of the central building was later renovated in the French style.

Some rooms still retain their original Baroque decoration, others were later renovated in Rocoque and Classical styles. Inside the south building is the famous picture gallery, where the royal painter painted 36 portraits of the most beautiful women from all walks of life in Munich. The most famous are the shoemaker's daughter Helene Sedlmayr and the dancer Lola Montez, King Ludwig's lover.

“Munich has a diverse cultural history, owns many ancient castles and is convenient for traveling to many other tourist destinations in the region such as Austria, exploring Salzburg (the most beautiful city in Austria) and the ancient village of Hallstatt, known as the fairyland, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Europe, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 1997. Munich is one of the two cities with the most vibrant nightlife in Germany. Munich is an economic center, an industrial city, famous for the BMW brand. This is not only the world's luxury car brand, a symbol of the German automobile industry, but currently, the BMW Complex has also become a very popular tourist destination. The BMW Welt showroom alone welcomes more than 2 million visitors each year,” said Mr. Benedikt Brandmeier, Director of the Munich Tourist Office.

We also spent time visiting the 69,000-seat Olympic Stadium and the 291m-high Olympic Tower, which offers a panoramic view of the bustling city of Munich. From above, the BMW Headquarters is worthy of being the city's iconic landmark with four prominent spires simulating four engine cylinders, with the BMW logo on all four sides. When night falls, the shimmering light from inside makes the BMW Welt shine like a giant diamond, and it is truly the "diamond" of the Munich economy. With so many cars that it could fill an encyclopedia about BMW, the BMW Museum is one of the must-see destinations for any car lover when visiting Bavaria.

In the eyes of tourists, Germans are sometimes considered cold and lacking in humor, but after only a few short days in Munich, we found this to be a one-sided assessment. In fact, Germans are extremely hospitable and friendly. Experiencing the bicycle service (similar to cyclo in Vietnam) around Munich, the driver mumbled "Hello" in very cute Vietnamese, asked us if we liked listening to music, then turned on the rap song "Di ve nha" by Den Vau and the song "Cat doi noi sau", and swayed and danced to the music very happily. Throughout the long journey, he happily chatted, was ready to take photos and film for customers with a bright smile always on his lips.
