Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assessed that in the past quarter, our country has achieved many positive results in all fields; the highest economic growth compared to the same period since 2020; GDP in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 6.93%. All three sectors grew well: agriculture 3.74%; industry and construction 7.42%; services 7.70%.
Speaking at the conference, the Prime Minister (photo above) especially emphasized three important lessons, especially that the more difficult, challenging and pressured the situation is, the more effort and striving to rise up strongly, demonstrating the mettle, core values, intelligence and culture of the Vietnamese people. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the head of the Government requested ministries, branches and localities to synchronously, resolutely and effectively implement the conclusions and resolutions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the National Assembly and the Government. Be proactive, creative and flexible in responding to the policies of other countries, especially the reciprocal tariffs of the United States.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs to take the lead in advising and seriously and effectively implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus, avoiding work interruptions that affect people and businesses.
The Ministry of Public Security is assigned to take the lead in strengthening the implementation of Project 06; speed up the construction and sharing of databases; accelerate the comprehensive and extensive national digital transformation, contributing to promoting growth.
Each ministry, agency, and locality has specific plans and solutions for reviewing and perfecting institutions and laws, reforming administrative procedures, digital transformation, and improving the investment and business environment. Strive to reduce at least 30% of administrative procedure processing time by 2025; reduce at least 30% of business costs; abolish at least 30% of business conditions; 100% of administrative procedures are not dependent on administrative boundaries within the province.
