Promoting Vietnam - Armenia economic cooperation
Attending the discussion, on the Vietnamese side were Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, along with members of the high-ranking delegation. On the Armenian side, the event was honored to welcome Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan; Deputy Minister of Economy Edgar Zaqaryan; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnacakan Safaryan; Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Artur Martirosyan; Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan, along with many senior officials and business representatives of the two countries.
About 70 delegates from 60 Vietnamese and Armenian enterprises operating in the fields of energy, minerals, telecommunications, textiles, transportation, etc. also participated in the discussion.
In his opening remarks, Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan welcomed the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly and emphasized that the visit is an important driving force to help the relationship between the two countries develop more strongly. He also expressed his joy at the continuous growth of trade turnover between Vietnam and Armenia in recent years, and affirmed that the potential for cooperation between the two countries is still very large, especially in the fields of food,education , science and technology and high technology.

Vietnam Airlines expands international air connections
As one of the few Vietnamese enterprises attending the seminar, Mr. To Ngoc Giang - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines Corporation - shared that Vietnam Airlines is proud to be an important bridge promoting tourism, trade and investment development between Vietnam and international partners.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates 96 routes, including 60 international routes and 36 domestic routes, connecting 54 destinations worldwide. The airline is also a member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance, cooperating with many other airlines to expand its flight network to more than 1,100 destinations.
In 2025, Vietnam Airlines plans to launch and restore 15 international routes to cities such as Milan (Italy), Copenhagen (Denmark), Dubai (UAE), Moscow (Russia), Daxing - Beijing (China)... to expand trade opportunities and promote international cooperation. These efforts not only help strengthen trade connections but also contribute to promoting Vietnamese culture and image to the world.
Research on exploiting the aviation market to Armenia
Assessing the Armenian market, Vietnam Airlines leaders said that this country has long-term development potential. In 2024, the number of passengers between Vietnam and Armenia will reach 826, a slight increase compared to 2023 but only 30% compared to the pre-pandemic period. There are currently no direct flights between the two countries, passengers mainly connect via Doha and Dubai with Qatar Airways and Emirates.
Faced with opportunities from the Armenian market, Vietnam Airlines is closely monitoring developments and actual needs to research and exploit the aviation market to Armenia in the future. "Through today's discussion, Vietnam Airlines wishes to accompany the development of Vietnam - Armenia cooperation, bringing practical values to businesses and people of the two countries," the airline's leader emphasized.
