This is an annual event of the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry to recognize and honor the contributions and achievements of reporters from press agencies.
The 13th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Journalism Award was officially launched in September 2023. After 60 days of launching, the organizing committee received 145 entries from 56 journalists, reporters, editors, and collaborators with a total of 228 news, articles, and reports from 34 press agencies of the city and the Central Government located in the city.

The photo series "The magical Bach Dang Wharf with 500,000 LED lights" by photojournalist Cao Ngoc Duong, Thanh Nien Newspaper won 3rd prize in the Press Photo category.
Commenting on the quality of the press awards for writing about tourism in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Duong Vu Thong, Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, assessed that the entries focused on current issues that are of interest to management agencies.
"The entries also address issues related to tourism products, local linkages in tourism development, shifting to serving domestic tourists, and suggestions for building tourism events in the city... so that the city's tourism industry is always the leading tourism industry in the country," said Mr. Duong Vu Thong.
