French cuisine is one of the most famous cuisines in the world . Vietnam has centuries of cultural exchange with France, and French cuisine has left a strong mark on Vietnamese life.
In recent years, the French Embassy, in collaboration with the Hanoi People's Committee, has organized the French Food Festival, providing an opportunity for the public in the capital to discover French cuisine . This year's festival will take place from March 28th to 30th at Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) with the theme "Balade en France - A Stroll Through France".
At this year's festival, visitors will have the opportunity to experience 40 stalls selling French agricultural products and food under the "Taste France" label. Tasting sessions and culinary demonstrations by professional chefs will allow Hanoi residents to discover famous French products such as milk, chocolate, bread, cheese, cold cuts, fruits, wine, and alcoholic beverages. This is also an occasion to celebrate French cuisine, both in terms of food and the spirit of the festival, and to build friendly cooperation and spread culinary culture between countries.
Beyond just food, the festival is also an opportunity for people to immerse themselves in French culture with various cultural and sporting activities, revolving around three main events: the 3rd Francophone Run, exploring products from France and other Francophone countries, and an exhibition on studying abroad in France with the theme "I Learn and I Act," aimed at young people wishing to pursue higher education in French.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the French Embassy's exhibition booth, which features various activities showcasing France, from its automotive industry and tourism to its education. Games about France and French-Vietnamese cooperation will also be held at this booth.
Universities in Hanoi also participated in introducing training courses in French. The job forum will provide students and recent graduates with opportunities to meet employers.
In addition, a special music program will be held featuring artists such as Thanh Tú & Etienne, Sophie de Quay, Hà Myo, Bùi Công Nam, Kay Trần, Mạc Mai Sương, and others.
This year's festival has been expanded in scale with the participation of organizations such as: the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF); the Agency for Francophone Universities (AUF); and the Group of Francophone Embassies, Missions and Organizations in Hanoi (GADIF).
