Milk tea - the " national drink " that makes people miss it

Explaining this habit, she said: "Milk tea is easy to drink, and has a variety of flavors, so it can satisfy everyone's preferences. Milk tea becomes the most popular drink in Vietnam

Milk tea is not only a refreshing drink, easy to buy, easy to drink, but also a bridge connecting friends and people. Whenever they have free time, many people often invite acquaintances and friends to milk tea shops to chat and confide. Ms. Mai Anh (45 years old, Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "On weekends, my close friends and I often go on dates, which is also an opportunity for the F1 generation to interact with each other and increase their connection. Because we bring our children, our group often chooses milk tea shops as meeting places because this type of drink has a variety of toppings and flavors, so the children love it very much. The shops are now also beautifully decorated, so we can take advantage of taking virtual photos."

It can be seen that milk tea, from a familiar drink for students, has now been expanded to other groups from office workers, business people to a choice for meetings with friends, family... From a street drink, milk tea has developed into a chain of well-invested stores with attractive layouts, modern designs, and large scale. According to an assessment by market research company Euromonitor, the Vietnamese milk tea market has an annual growth rate of about 20% and has reached a scale of nearly 300 million USD since 2017. According to a report published on August 16 by Momentum Works and digital payment solutions company Qlub, the revenue of the Vietnamese milk tea industry has entered the top 3 in the region with 362 million USD, just behind the two leading markets, Indonesia with 1.6 billion USD and Thailand with 749 million USD in 2021.

So even though it appeared in 2002, this drink has continuously created a fever and shows no signs of cooling down as the number of shops selling milk tea is constantly increasing rapidly and becoming a "national drink" that is missed by many food lovers.
