In the context of global economic fluctuations, Bamboo Capital focuses on a multi-sector investment strategy, not spread out but focused, to build a solid business ecosystem.
Multi-industry but not spread out strategy
Bamboo Capital was established in 2011. Unlike other businesses that choose “one profession for nine is better than nine professions”, Bamboo Capital chose a multi-industry path, focusing on five main areas: renewable energy, real estate, financial services - insurance, construction - infrastructure, manufacturing - pharmaceuticals.
Bamboo Capital is about to turn 13, steadfast in its strategy of choosing to diversify its business lines in a mutually supportive manner. The combination of industries to create mutual support, optimize profits and minimize business risks helps Bamboo Capital maintain sustainable development, overcome major market challenges, especially from the Covid pandemic period up to now with many fluctuations.
Bamboo Capital's 2023 financial report shows that Bamboo Capital achieved revenue of more than VND 4,000 billion, down only about 8% compared to the same period in 2022 - a decrease considered a "miracle" amid unprecedented difficulties in the real estate sector, but the renewable energy segment still maintained stability, contributing 27.9% of total revenue, thanks to the strong development of solar and wind power projects, bringing stable revenue.
Entering 2024, Bamboo Capital recorded consolidated net revenue of VND2,100 billion in the first 6 months of the year, up 15.7% over the same period last year. Although the real estate industry is still facing difficulties, other industries such as renewable energy and financial services continue to contribute 32.8% and 17.4% of total revenue, respectively.
AAA Insurance's financial services segment is a notable highlight. In the first 9 months of 2024, AAA Insurance recorded an impressive breakthrough with revenue of more than VND 1,000 billion, up 150% over the same period last year.
It can be seen that Bamboo Capital's focused multi-industry strategy not only helps diversify revenue sources but also has mutual support between sectors. When the economy recovers, all sectors will prosper together.
Bamboo Capital's sustainable development strategy
Bamboo Capital’s model of many bamboo trees relying on and supporting each other to become a large bamboo grove has been proven with its 12-year history of formation and development. The financial figures that the company has achieved throughout its development have also affirmed that Bamboo Capital is “like a bamboo grove that wind and rain can hardly destroy”.
While the story of net zero or carbon credits and sustainable development is still quite unfamiliar in Vietnam, Bamboo Capital has pioneered the development of renewable energy and green real estate projects to create sustainable values for both businesses and society.
BCG Energy - one of Bamboo Capital's core companies has pioneered the development of clean energy in Vietnam, with large-scale solar, wind and waste-to-energy projects... Currently, BCG Energy is a Top 3 renewable energy enterprise in Vietnam. BCG Energy not only brings economic benefits to Bamboo Capital but also helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contributes to combating climate change and promoting sustainable green energy.
At the same time, Bamboo Capital, through BCG Land, develops green real estate projects, typically Hoian d'Or, King Crown Infinity, Malibu Hoi An. BCG Land's projects apply renewable energy, install smart management systems to save energy, and use materials that are friendly to the health of users and the environment.
In addition, in response to the global trend of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Bamboo Capital has established BCG Eco, focusing on afforestation, forest care and forestry tree nursery. BCG Eco also aims to become an independent consulting firm, providing comprehensive solutions for businesses wishing to participate in the carbon credit market. BCG Eco not only seizes the opportunity from the carbon credit exchange expected to launch in 2028, but also demonstrates Bamboo Capital's commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility, contributing to Vietnam's Net Zero goal by 2050.
Along with that, Bamboo Capital is always committed to fulfilling social responsibilities in the localities where the company operates, demonstrated through charity programs, supporting education and infrastructure development, improving the quality of people's lives.
Thanks to its sustainable development orientation, focusing on social and environmental responsibility, Bamboo Capital is chosen by financial institutions and many international corporations as a reliable partner when investing in Vietnam such as: Sembcorp Industries, Singapore Power, Hanwha Energy, Leader Energy Group, PowerChina, Shanghai SUS Environment, SK Ecoplant, Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corp,...
Bamboo Capital representative said: “In the future, Bamboo Capital will continue to develop renewable energy, real estate, construction - infrastructure and green production projects, at the same time, strengthen the financial - insurance services sector with the goal of building an increasingly solid mutual ecosystem, consolidating Bamboo Capital's position as one of the pioneering enterprises in sustainable development in Vietnam”.
