Doctors who commit to working at public facilities in Binh Thuan for 10 years will receive 600-800 million VND.
The above policy was approved by the People's Council of Binh Thuan province in a resolution on supporting training, attracting and rewarding medical human resources in the area on October 10.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, Binh Thuan currently has 949 doctors, of which 713 work at 146 public health service units; 236 work at other health facilities and private clinics. With this number, the province only has a ratio of 7.7 doctors per 10,000 people. Meanwhile, to reach the ratio of 9 doctors per 10,000 people by 2025, this place needs 184 more doctors.
According to this policy, university-level doctors receive 600 million VND; resident doctors, master's degree doctors, level I specialists receive 700 million VND; doctors with doctoral degree, level II specialists receive 800 million VND.
If they do not receive it all at once, they can receive it annually (60-80 million VND) within 10 years.
Doctors who are attracted by invitation to participate in the project also receive 80 million VND per month, or 3,636,000 VND per day, and are paid for accommodation and travel expenses.
In addition, doctors working in ethnic minority, mountainous and particularly difficult areas are treated with an additional 15-100% of their monthly salary.
In addition, Binh Thuan also supports (tuition, research and study costs) for undergraduate and postgraduate medical training for officials and students who commit to working long-term at local public health facilities (10-14 years).
If the commitment is violated, the person in this category will have to compensate for the funds received.

Not only Binh Thuan, many provinces and cities also have policies to attract medical staff to their localities. In 2022, doctors with the title of professor who work in Thanh Hoa will immediately receive 1.3 billion VND, associate professors will receive 800 million VND; doctors and level II specialists will receive 400 million VND.
Specialist II or PhD doctors in Dong Nan will be supported with 350 million VND, while doctors working in public hospitals can receive an additional 2-4 million VND per month.
