Brilliant Poland through the lens of Vietnamese artists

On the afternoon of October 28, the Polish Embassy in Hanoi held an award ceremony and exhibition of works in the "Brilliant Poland" drawing contest.

This is the second year the Embassy has organized the contest to introduce the beautiful landscapes and people of Poland. Speaking at the event, Ms. Justyna Pabian, Charge d’Affaires of Poland in Vietnam, said that this year’s contest exceeded the expectations of the Organizing Committee.

Justyna Pabian shared: "In just 40 days since the announcement, we have received 173 entries from artists in 37 different provinces and cities of Vietnam.

All entries are of high quality, diverse in artistic style, technique and expression, demonstrating the beauty of Poland and the talent of the artists.”

At the award ceremony, the Polish Embassy announced and honored the most outstanding and inspiring works from the authors participating in the contest.

In which, the First Prize belongs to author Nguyen Ba Thanh from Thai Binh with the work Polish Dawn ; the Second Prize belongs to author Nguyen Vu Hao from Ho Chi Minh City with the work Marie Skłodowska-Curie & the discovery of radioactive substances and the Third Prize belongs to author Trinh Phuong Oanh from Hanoi with the work Polish Colors.

The Organizing Committee also awarded a special Encouragement Prize to the work "Brilliant Polish Winter" by author Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, which described a typical Polish winter, full of vitality, touching the souls of those far from home.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee has selected 63 outstanding works of art to display at the exhibition. Each work demonstrates creativity and a special perspective on the rich Polish culture as well as the unique beauty of Polish landscapes, cities and people through the lens of Vietnamese artists.

The Polish Embassy hopes that the success of the “Polish Brilliance” competition and exhibition will pave the way for future ideas from the Embassy to further promote cultural exchange and the artistic spirit that connects the two peoples.

The first drawing competition organized by the Polish Embassy in Hanoi, titled “Poland - Beautiful and poetic country” in 2022, attracted 93 Vietnamese artists.

The second drawing competition “Poland in All Its Glory” continues to inspire and encourage further exploration of Poland’s rich heritage, natural beauty and people’s diversity.
