During the ministerial meeting attended by several foreign ministers from Arab countries and the European Union (EU), Mr. Shoukry stressed the importance of providing the necessary support for the Palestinian Authority to continue fulfilling its mandate.

The meeting focused on developments in the Palestinian issue and related efforts to resolve the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and prevent the situation from deteriorating in the West Bank, according to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, quoted by Vietnam News Agency in Cairo.

The ministers stressed the need to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, by achieving a ceasefire, ensuring the safe and full entry of aid, and opening all land crossings between Israel and Gaza to increase the flow of aid.

In addition, Foreign Minister Shoukry highlighted Egypt's firm stance against Israel's illegal unilateral annexation of land, or the construction of new settlements in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

He also discussed the serious humanitarian risks posed by ongoing Israeli military operations in the Palestinian city of Rafah, warning of the consequences of these operations for peace and stability in the region.

The Egyptian foreign minister also urged safe conditions for international relief teams to receive and distribute aid across the Gaza Strip, saying developments on the ground were undermining international efforts to implement a two-state solution.

Finally, Egyptian Foreign Minister Shoukry called on international parties to prioritize the path of peace, uphold the values of justice and equality, and take practical measures to change the current situation, by working to implement the two-state solution.

He also warned that the parties risked facing dire consequences if the solution collapsed.
