Exactly 70 years ago, on February 27, 1955, President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter to the Health sector, this was a historical milestone that became the traditional day of the Health sector - Vietnam Doctors' Day. Remembering Uncle Ho's teaching "A good doctor must also be like a kind mother", over the past 70 years, under the attention, leadership and direction of the Ministry of Health, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; the coordination of agencies and units in the province, the Health sector of Vinh Phuc province has excellently completed all assigned tasks, the quality of medical examination and treatment, and health care for the people has been increasingly improved.
As a unit that has achieved 17 criteria of Smart Hospital, surpassing vascular intervention, emergency resuscitation, and surgery. Up to now, the Provincial General Hospital has become a trusted address for high-quality medical examination and treatment to serve the people.
With the goal of building a paperless hospital, Vinh Phuc Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital has digitized many steps in the medical examination and treatment process, thereby saving time and effort for the medical team, doctors, medical staff and people.
Bearing in mind Uncle Ho's teaching "A good doctor must be like a mother", in recent years, the Vinh Phuc province's health sector has continuously studied, improved its professional qualifications and medical ethics, promoted the spirit of innovation, creativity, pioneered in approaching and learning new technologies to perform well the assigned tasks. The health system from the provincial to the grassroots level has been consolidated and increasingly improved. The health sector has achieved comprehensive results in both preventive medicine and medical examination and treatment. National target programs on health, scientific research, training of high-quality human resources, application of information technology, digital transformation, and international health cooperation programs have achieved remarkable achievements.
Many health indicators of the province have reached and exceeded the targets of Resolution No. 11 -NQ/TU of the 17th Provincial Party Committee on strengthening the work of protecting, caring for, improving people's health and developing the health sector of Vinh Phuc province, period 2021 - 2025, vision to 2035. Some indicators are higher than the average of the Red River Delta region and the whole country. Notably, the rate of population participating in health insurance reached 95.6%; the ratio of hospital beds per 10,000 people reached 44.3 hospital beds; the ratio of doctors per 10,000 people reached 16.8 doctors.
In the period when the entire political system is accelerating the process of reorganizing and restructuring the apparatus and improving the quality of human resources, the Vinh Phuc Health sector is increasingly aware of its noble mission as instructed by Uncle Ho for the common development of Vinh Phuc, with the aspiration to strive to reach the goal of being in the top 10 of the country in all health indicators in accordance with the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the wishes of the Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong at the recent working session with the Department of Health.
