Specifically, the two airlines with the most delayed flights are Vietjet Air and Vietnam Airlines. Of these, Vietjet Air had 257 delayed flights, accounting for more than 74% of the airline's total flights; Vietnam Airlines had 209 flights, accounting for more than 59%.

In addition, some airlines such as Bamboo Airways had 43 delayed flights (accounting for 57%), Jetstar Pacific also had 44 delayed flights (accounting for 70%). In addition, in the past three days, there were also 40 flights canceled due to bad weather, accounting for 3.63%.

Many flight delays have occurred since February 1st, due to fog in the northern provinces, preventing many planes from taking off and landing on time. This has had a chain effect on departure times between airports, especially Tan Son Nhat - the country's largest aviation hub.

According to statistics, on February 3, Tan Son Nhat Airport had about 900 flights arriving and departing with nearly 130,000 passengers, mostly at the domestic terminal. Of which, about 62,000 were domestic passengers, many flights were delayed for many hours, making passengers tired and exhausted while waiting.

At the same time, the airport offers options suitable to the actual situation such as options for low, mid and peak periods .

According to the Deputy Director of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the domestic terminal during the Lunar New Year will have the same number of passengers as every year. "The expected peak volume is more than 140,000 departures/arrivals, about 900 flights/day, with peak days possibly increasing to 950 flights/day," said Mr. Tien.

In order to limit congestion at Tan Son Nhat airport, Mr. Phung Thanh Tu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, said that the Youth Union has mobilized to support passengers such as: guiding passengers, assisting passengers in putting their belongings through the scanner, providing flight information, and collecting strollers for passengers.
