On September 24, the commander of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department of Son La Province Police said that the unit is handling a case of a truck driver with an alcohol concentration exceeding the limit, and when discovered, he accelerated and fled.
The truck driver was Nguyen Huy H. (34 years old), from Moc Chau district. Through alcohol testing, driver H. violated the level of 0.705 mg/liter of breath.
Earlier, at around 7am the same day, the working group of the Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 was on duty at km 161+500, National Highway 6, Long Luong Commune, Van Ho District, and asked the driver of the truck with license plate 29H-692.XX to stop for an alcohol test. However, the driver did not comply and fled in the direction of Hanoi - Son La.
Suspecting that the driver had signs of violation, the task force chased and coordinated with the Traffic Police Team of Moc Chau and Van Ho Districts to stop the vehicle. The driver still did not comply and continued to drive around Moc Chau Farm town, endangering other road users. According to information from the task force officers, there were sections of the road where the driver was driving at speeds of up to 130 km/h.
By 8:00 a.m. the same day, the police force had controlled the truck driver in the Bung village area, Moc Chau Farm town, Moc Chau district.
