At the press conference, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province informed that in May, the industrial production index is estimated to increase by 2.7% compared to the previous month and by 6.9% compared to the same period in 2022; in the first 5 months, the industrial production index increased by 2.1% compared to the same period. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue in the month is estimated to increase by 3.2% compared to the previous month and by 17.7% compared to the same period. Export turnover is estimated to increase by 17.1% compared to the previous month and by 2.8% compared to the same period. Import turnover is estimated to increase by 16.6% compared to the previous month and decrease by 10.8% compared to the same period.

As of May 31, the disbursement value of the 2023 public investment plan reached more than VND 2,261 billion (10.4% of the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Council). As of May 15, domestic investment had attracted VND 4,595 billion in registered business capital; in the first 5 months of the year, it had attracted VND 24,303 billion. Foreign investment had attracted 49 million USD; in the first 5 months, it had attracted 885 million USD (equal to 36% over the same period). New budget revenue is estimated at VND 4,200 billion; in the first 5 months, it reached VND 28,200 billion, reaching 42% of the estimate set by the Provincial People's Council.
