During the working program, the EVN delegation inspected the power supply plans at the site where the parade and marching events took place on the occasion of April 30, and listened to the Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation (EVNHCMC) report on preparations to ensure power supply for this particularly important political event.
Preparations to ensure electricity for the holidays are closely organized.
Up to now, EVNHCMC has directed Saigon Electricity Company to prepare power supply plans for this event. In addition to power supply, Saigon Electricity Company also arranges to install lighting equipment, air conditioners, auxiliary sound systems, and necessary loads for the event area. At the same time, the unit also supplies power to LED screens, sound systems, and auxiliary systems on routes related to the parade through newly installed electricity meters from existing low-voltage distribution stations and cabinets on the routes.

According to Mr. Tran Duc Linh, Deputy Technical Director of Saigon Electricity Company, the unit had previously established specialized working groups to comprehensively inspect the electrical system at important event locations such as the main parade site on Le Duan Street, Independence Palace, City Theater, Nguyen Hue Street and main roads.
Accordingly, the working groups have carried out maintenance, replaced old equipment, installed additional low-voltage distribution cabinets, large-capacity diesel generators, and thoroughly inspected important transformer stations, upgrading them to ensure continuous operation and avoid unexpected incidents.

Mr. Tran Duc Linh said that to ensure absolute safety, Saigon Electricity Company has also conducted a general inspection of all equipment, stations and power grids from intermediate stations to power stations in the area of the routes where events to celebrate the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day took place; checked the surface of the body and shell of the power cabinets/stations along the routes where many people gathered to watch the parade, at the same time, reviewed and handled defective underground cables to ensure the safest and most reliable power supply.
Saigon Electricity Company has also disseminated plans for rehearsing scenarios for handling situations through on-site power supply diagrams to ensure good handling when incidents affecting power supply occur.
Previously, EVNHCMC directed its affiliated power companies to prioritize ensuring electricity at locations where political and cultural activities take place in the management area, especially in the city center, where parades, marches and activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day take place.
At the same time, units must arrange reasonable methods of operating power sources and grids to ensure safety and reliability under normal conditions; be ready with flexible plans to handle quickly in case of incidents. In particular, do not perform work on the grid that leads to power cuts/losses affecting customers; develop plans and organize drills at places where festivals, events, and entertainment venues with large crowds are held. Do not perform work that causes power outages/stops or reduces power supply during the holidays, except in cases of incidents or special requests.

Units are assigned to schedule leadership and 24/7 electrical maintenance and repair during holidays; coordinate with local authorities, police and military to review, develop and deploy security, safety, fire prevention and fighting plans for operators, electrical works and grid operation locations.
Ensure safe and absolutely reliable power supply
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Ngo Son Hai, Deputy General Director of EVN, highly appreciated the preparation of power supply for the April 30th holiday of EVNHCMC in general and Saigon Electricity Company in particular. After a preliminary inspection of the site and listening to the report on power assurance plan of EVNHCMC, Mr. Ngo Son Hai and the working group expressed their confidence in the proposed plans.
However, this is a particularly important political event of national significance. Therefore, Mr. Hai said, the Group's goal is to ensure safe and absolutely reliable power supply for this particularly important political event of the country. The Deputy General Director of EVN requested EVNHCMC to thoroughly inform all units related to workers in the departments, absolutely not allowing any mistakes in the implementation process.
Mr. Hai noted that in the next step, EVNHCMC and Saigon Electricity Company need to coordinate with related units to connect to the grandstand and stage areas; closely monitor the connection process so that related parties can properly follow safe technical procedures.
Next, the installation of priority power sources in the coming time needs to be organized to practice operation and troubleshooting, ensuring that when problems arise, they can be handled immediately. Mr. Ngo Son Hai also requested EVNHCMC to periodically inspect risky locations and continue to review to eliminate electrical safety risks during this time.
Accepting the Group's instructions, Mr. Luan Quoc Hung, Deputy General Director of EVNHCMC, said that he will continue to add items according to the suggestions of the Group and the working group, ensuring safe and absolutely reliable power supply during the great celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
