The competition for good durian farmers (including 4 competitions: Durian garden with productivity and quality; Most beautiful and delicious durian fruit and performance of opening/cutting durian fruit; Knocking/catching and classifying durian fruit and Competition for the audience: knowledge in the durian industry) is one of the 12 main activities of the 2nd Krong Pac Durian Festival, 2024.

The first durian (ancient durian queen) The durian tree to be auctioned is taken from a 100-year-old durian tree grown in Tan Lap village, Ea Yong commune, Krong Pac district (CADA plantation) with a starting price of 60 million VND.

Finally, the representative of EKCORP Company Limited (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) won the auction for the above durian with a price of 350 million VND.

The second durian (Queen of Dona durian) to be auctioned is of the Dona durian variety with a starting price of 70 million VND. Many businesses have offered auction prices for this Dona durian with jumps of 200, 400, 700, 800 million VND.

Finally, with the "determination to own the queen of durians Dona", the businesswoman of Hong Sang Fruit Company Limited (Cai Lay town, Tien Giang province) won the auction with a price of 800 million VND. When receiving the gold-plated Dona durian, this businesswoman also announced that she would support the locality with an additional 100 million VND for social security.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, awarded 3 "durian queen" fruits to one of the winning businesses.

After that, a business contributed an additional 200 million VND, raising the price of the "durian queen Ri6" to 1.6 billion VND.

Specifically: Ms. Ngo Tuong Vy, General Director of Chanh Thu Fruit Import-Export Corporation, contributed 500 million VND in the auction; 3 Tot Fertilizer Company contributed 300 million VND in the auction; Viet Nong Phat Company contributed 200 million VND in the auction; VIC Media Company Limited contributed 200 million VND in the auction; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuc: Chairwoman of BAGICO Investment Joint Stock Company contributed 200 million VND in the auction; VINCO Viet Nong Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company contributed 100 million VND in the auction; Enfarm Agricultural Technology Company Limited contributed 100 million VND in the auction.

Thus, the total of three "durian queen" fruits is 2.85 billion VND and the entire amount will be transferred to the People's Committee of Krong Pac district to implement the social security program and support farmers who directly grow durian to "Build and develop a sustainable durian ecosystem".

Three top-quality durians, considered "durian queens", were sold for nearly 3 billion VND at a thrilling auction within the framework of the Krong Pac Durian Festival, People's Committee of Krong Pac district (Dak Lak).

Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Trinh, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Krong Pac District (Dak Lak Province) said that the auction winner, in addition to receiving a fresh "durian queen" to enjoy, will also be given a gold-plated durian as a souvenir.
