The T3 passenger terminal construction project includes 4 main items: Passenger terminal, high-rise parking garage combined with non-aviation services, overpass system in front of the terminal and aircraft parking lot. The total investment of the project is 10,990 billion VND, with ACV as the investor.

The passenger terminal has a scale of 1 basement, 4 floors above ground, with a total floor area of 112,500m2. Inspired by the traditional ao dai, the station roof architecture is designed to be both soft and similar to the existing station.

The high-rise parking lot combined with non-aviation services is a complex of 2 basements, 4 above-ground floors and a 3-storey motorbike parking block, connected by a bridge corridor, with a total construction floor area of 130,000m2.

With the architectural finishing part, the steel roof structure has been completed with 7,500 tons, reaching 100% of the progress. The aluminum roof is 60,000m2 wide, of which the roof of layer 1 of the passenger terminal is over 42,000m2, and is 100% complete. The glass curtain wall has been finished at the factory and partially transferred to the construction site; the mechanical and electrical construction is completed from 70% to 95% depending on the area.

According to Mr. Le Khac Hong - Head of the Project Management Board for the construction of Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport, the overall progress of the project has reached 70% of the workload and will be completed by March 30, 2025.

“To inaugurate the project on April 30, 2025, we must complete the project one month earlier, meaning there are only 200 days left to complete the project. This is a huge challenge, requiring the relevant units to be more united, try harder and be more determined,” Mr. Le Khac Hong emphasized.

In the immediate future, in the next 90 days, the investor and related parties will focus on completing the entire station roof and auxiliary works, building facade glass, floor tiling and installation, connection of electromechanical equipment (UC) and power connection.

Currently, the construction site is mobilizing more than 2,500 workers and engineers, hundreds of construction machines and equipment, working day and night in 3 shifts and 4 shifts.
