Request to overcome existing problems at Quang Nam Lottery Company

On July 2, the Provincial People's Committee issued a document directing the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to study the opinions of the Ministry of Finance, and at the same time request the Quang Nam Lottery Company to urgently overcome the existing problems according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Finance's inspection team and strictly implement legal regulations on lottery business.

Previously, the Ministry of Finance sent a document to the Provincial People's Committee notifying the inspection of business activities at Quang Nam Lottery Company. The inspection team found many limitations. Specifically, the company issued regulations on the collection of unsold lottery tickets, ticket stubs and manual lottery ticket storage; asset management regulations; debt collection regulations; participation regulations and lottery drawing regulations that did not fully comply with regulations. At the same time, legal documents were not updated.

The Ministry of Finance has issued an official dispatch requesting the Quang Nam Lottery Company to urgently review and overcome the limitations. At the same time, it requested the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, as the owner, to supervise the overcoming of the company's limitations according to the contents and recommendations of the inspection team; and direct the company to comply with the provisions of the law on lottery business.
