(Dan Tri) - After buying the lottery ticket, Mr. M. in Tra Vinh put it in his pocket and waded through the fields to catch crabs. When he found out that the lottery ticket had won the jackpot, the man took it out and found that the ticket was crumpled.
Over the past two days, social media has been circulating images of two crumpled lottery tickets with the number 9916303. This number matches the jackpot prize number of Hau Giang Lottery drawn on February 1.

Also in the past few days, information from Phuoc Danh Lottery Agent in Tra Vinh said that this agent has exchanged 6 jackpot winning tickets of Hau Giang Lottery on February 1. These people are all relatives, living in the same coastal hamlet of Tra Vinh province.
On the afternoon of February 4, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Le Huu Phuoc, owner of Phuoc Danh lottery agency confirmed that he had redeemed the 6 lottery tickets mentioned above. "The owner of the two crumpled lottery tickets, named M., was the person who bought 10 winning lottery tickets. This person distributed 8 tickets to his relatives and kept 2 tickets. My agency redeemed 6/8 tickets that were still valid, the remaining 2 tickets were redeemed at another agency.
Mr. M. said he put the lottery ticket in his pocket and went wading through the rice fields. The lottery ticket got wet and crumpled. The man felt sorry, but remained calm after the incident," said Mr. Phuoc.
The lottery agent added: "Unfortunately, I went to his house, Mr. M. is old, has difficult circumstances, and makes a living by catching crabs. If the two lottery tickets are intact, the total prize value after tax is 3.6 billion VND.
I advised Mr. M's relatives to go directly to the lottery company to ask if they could redeem their prizes. But according to the regulations, those two lottery tickets were definitely so crumpled that they were no longer valuable."
Also on the afternoon of February 4, speaking with reporters, Mr. D., Mr. M.'s nephew, said that his family had contacted Hau Giang Lottery One Member Co., Ltd. about the incident, but the company refused to pay the prize, and the family accepted the result.
