Việt NamViệt Nam20/01/2024

These days, Red Cross chapters at all levels in Yen Khanh district are actively mobilizing the community's support and contributions, creating material resources to bring a warm Tet to people in difficult circumstances.

In preparation for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, the Red Cross Society of Yen Khanh district strives to mobilize 1,000 gifts; of which, 80% of the total number of gifts (each worth from 600,000 VND or more) will be given to households in difficult circumstances.

To achieve this goal, the District Red Cross Society has assigned and assigned targets to communes, while promoting propaganda and mobilization work for local businesses and children from the homeland working far away...

Ms. Cu Thi Anh Tuyet, Head of the Light Up Faith Club, is one of the philanthropists who has contributed a lot to charity activities in the locality. In preparation for the Lunar New Year, Ms. Tuyet and the members of the Club have actively connected and created resources to support people in difficult circumstances in the commune. Recently, the Light Up Faith Club coordinated with Nghia Nhai Electronics Store and a number of other philanthropists to organize a gift giving program for 42 poor households in Khanh Cong commune on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, each gift worth 300,000 VND. The amount of money is not large but it is truly a timely encouragement for the poor.

Mrs. Pham Thi Nguyet in Hamlet 7 is one of the poor households that received gifts from benefactors. Mrs. Nguyet's husband died of a serious illness during the year. Her son and his wife divorced, left home and left two children for Mrs. Nguyet to raise. The life of that woman has not had a single happy day. Faced with such difficult circumstances, the Khanh Cong Commune Red Cross and the Khanh Thanh Commune Light Up Faith Club connected with benefactors and gave Mrs. Nguyet 14 million VND to help her overcome the most difficult period.

Receiving the attention and encouragement of the community, Ms. Nguyet was moved: Over the years, people in difficult circumstances like my family have always received attention and practical support through preferential policies of the Party, the State and the province. During the year, the Commune Red Cross and the Light Up Faith Club connected and supported my family with 14 million VND. Especially, on holidays like this, we also receive encouragement from the community with very meaningful gifts. The gifts are essential necessities, small amounts of money... which will help me have more conditions to prepare for the traditional New Year more fully.
