Xiaomi launches Xiaomi HyperOS, a human-centric operating system, designed and fine-tuned to connect personal devices, cars, and smart home products in the Smart Ecosystem.

Xiaomi held a product launch event with the theme “Beyond Every Moment” and announced Xiaomi HyperOS, the operating system that powers Xiaomi’s smart ecosystem including personal devices, automobiles, and home appliances.

The core of Xiaomi HyperOS is built on the Linux platform and Xiaomi Vela system developed by Xiaomi itself. The unique compatibility and precise management of system resources of Xiaomi HyperOS enable every device to operate at ideal performance. The base layer of Xiaomi HyperOS supports more than 200 processor platforms and over 20 standard file systems, covering hundreds of device types and thousands of SKUs. It allows flexible configuration, operation and deployment according to hardware requirements. The RAM size range of compatible devices ranges from 64KB to 24GB.

Xiaomi HyperOS has sophisticated orchestration capabilities to precisely control hardware and tasks in diverse and complex scenarios. This is achieved through technical means such as dynamic thread priority adjustment and dynamic task cycle evaluation, resulting in optimal performance and energy saving. Smartphones equipped with Xiaomi HyperOS allow users to play resource-intensive games with more stable frame rates and lower power consumption than pure Android and other highly customized operating systems.

On lightweight devices with limited processing power, Xiaomi HyperOS's coordination advantage is even more prominent through supporting task division across multiple computing units for cooperative processing, maximizing hardware performance. Furthermore, Xiaomi HyperOS has undergone extensive restructuring of technical modules, including the file system, memory management, image subsystem, and network system, all aimed at effectively exploiting and optimizing the different hardware capabilities of different devices, thereby delivering optimal performance.

Xiaomi HyperOS seamlessly integrates all connected devices and allows the software to adapt to the user's needs. Seamlessly switch camera sources during a video conference, access the car camera from your phone, access the rear camera of your smartphone when you are using a tablet or laptop, or even connect your tablet to the Internet via your smartphone. Additionally, applications, clipboard content, and notifications can be easily moved between devices as needed.

In the era of the Internet of Things, connectivity and multi-device integration are essential; Xiaomi HyperOS takes it a step further by incorporating an AI subsystem that supports advanced AI technologies that allow devices to proactively assist users.

Xiaomi HyperOS will be pre-installed on the newly launched Xiaomi 14 Series, Xiaomi Watch S3, Xiaomi TV S Pro 85" MiniLED as well as other devices in the domestic market.
