UK Tech Week in Southeast Asia 2025 is held over two days (March 27 and 28) in Ho Chi Minh City.

“This year marks the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the UK and Vietnam, and what better way to celebrate than by deepening our relationship in science, technology and innovation. UK businesses and organisations are already working closely with their Vietnamese counterparts, from AI and cyber security to digital trade and medical technology. Today, we hope to see more UK-Vietnam partnerships develop, creating opportunities for companies, researchers and investors from both countries to collaborate, innovate and grow,” said British Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew.
Attending the event, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that over the years, Ho Chi Minh City has been honored to be one of the pioneering localities in cooperating with the UK in investment, cultural exchange, educational cooperation, health care, etc. with bilateral trade turnover in 2024 reaching nearly 675 million USD.
The city appreciates the UK's interest and support in digital transformation initiatives, from sharing experiences in smart urban development, providing technical support to build a Ho Chi Minh City data strategy, to coordinating the training of high-quality human resources in the field of science and technology.
Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular pledge to continue to improve policies and create the most favorable and transparent investment and business conditions to attract international investors and talents, including the UK.
