This is the content of the online TV consultation program with the topic "Confirmation of successful admission: Things candidates need to remember" organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper yesterday afternoon (August 29). The program is online at thanhnien.vn, Facebook fanpage, YouTube channel, and TikTok Thanh Nien Newspaper.

X CONFIRMATION OF ADMISSION AND PARALLEL ADMISSION PROCEDURES

Present at the consultation program, Master Pham Doan Nguyen, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, noted that candidates who passed the first round of admission must do two things in parallel, which are to confirm their admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's system and go to the school to complete the admission procedures directly between August 24 and September 8.

"Schools will stop accepting admission applications at 5:00 p.m. on September 8. Between August 24 and September 8, if students do not confirm on the system or come to school to enroll, it will be considered as refusing admission. Or if students have confirmed on the system but have not paid the tuition fee after the end of the prescribed time, it will also be considered as refusing admission," Master Pham Doan Nguyen affirmed.

Experts attending the consulting program share necessary information for candidates during the admission procedures.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Binh, Head of Training Management - Student Affairs Department of Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, said that only in truly urgent cases such as students being affected by storms and floods or for some special reason, the school will flexibly resolve the issue if the student has not come to school to complete the admission procedures by September 8. However, the student must have documents proving that he/she is facing such a special situation.

Master Nguyen An, Deputy Head of Training Department of Duy Tan University, noted that confirming admission on the Ministry's system is a mandatory regulation, otherwise schools will not be able to accept students admitted in the first round. Therefore, if students do not comply, the schools will reserve that quota for the additional admission round. "Admission and additional admission scores will be equal to or higher than the first round, so if students refuse to enroll for additional consideration, there will be certain risks," Master An reminded.

According to Master Nguyen Tran Ngoc Phuong, Director of Marketing and Brand Development of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, if the candidate has not yet confirmed his/her enrollment on the system, when he/she comes to the school to enroll directly, the school's admissions officer will assist the candidate in performing this operation to ensure compliance with the enrollment regulations.

N REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION

At the consultation program, school representatives also informed about the number of students enrolled up to this point.

Master Pham Doan Nguyen said that the number of PhDs coming to the University of Economics and Finance to enroll has reached 60% and the school will arrange staff to receive applications on weekends and the September 2nd holiday. Meanwhile, Hung Vuong University in Ho Chi Minh City has reached 50% of its target. The number of applications from Duy Tan University has reached 60% of its target, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has reached 60 - 65% of its target.

Parents and successful candidates are guided through admission procedures.

"For admission, most schools require the same documents such as original transcripts or original test results depending on the admission method of the candidate, copy of high school diploma or temporary graduation certificate, copy of transcript, copy of citizen identification card, copy of birth certificate, documents if you are in priority group... If you are missing one of the above documents, you can supplement it later," said Master Nguyen.

Regarding the mandatory fees to be paid upon admission, according to school representatives, they include provisional tuition fees, health insurance fees, health examination fees, etc. Master Nguyen Tran Ngoc Phuong said that students can pay tuition fees in cash or by bank transfer.

There are many additional indicators in "hot" industries.

Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, considers 656 additional quotas for all majors nationwide in 3 ways: average score of semester 1 or the whole year of grade 12 is from 5 or higher; high school graduation exam score in 2023 with a total of 3 combined subjects is from 15 or higher; or results of the capacity assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University, applications are accepted until September 6.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology accepts additional admission applications for all majors based on transcripts (3 semester transcripts and 12th grade transcripts based on a combination of 3 subjects) until 5:00 p.m. on September 10.

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance accepts additional admission applications using transcripts including a combination of 3 subjects from grade 12 and considering the average score of 3 semesters from 18 points or higher until September 12.

Duy Tan University considers about 630 targets based on academic records and high school graduation exam scores with admission scores equal to the first round benchmark scores. Applications will be accepted until September 17.

Thus, there are still many "hot" majors that candidates can apply for additional consideration such as general medicine, dentistry, information technology, robotics and artificial intelligence, e-commerce, hotel management, automotive engineering technology, architecture, etc.
