From a particularly difficult mountainous commune, after 13 years of striving, Vinh Khe commune has completed 19/19 criteria for building a new rural area and was recognized by the People's Committee of Quang Tri province as a commune meeting new rural standards in 2023.
In recent years, Vinh Khe commune has mobilized resources to focus on building infrastructure works with a total amount of over 80 billion VND. Currently, the rate of traffic routes in the commune ensuring bright - green - clean - beautiful is 95%. The rate of hardened village roads and inter-village roads is 100%. The rate of people using electricity regularly is 100%...

Vinh Khe Kindergarten and Vinh Khe Primary School have both been recognized as level 1 schools. The rate of solid and semi-solid houses is 100%; 100% of households use clean water. The average income per capita in the commune in 2023 will reach nearly 45 million VND/person/year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong requested Vinh Khe commune to continue promoting the achieved results to move towards building a new rural area with higher and more sustainable progress. Focus on developing production, increasing income, reducing poverty for people, identifying this as the core and consistent goal; promote and exploit the potential and strengths of the locality to develop models that have been proven effective in the direction of goods, with linkages, associated with the formation and development of OCOP products.
Continue to improve the quality of education, health care, culture and society to increase access to services for people so that "no one is left behind". Focus on environmental protection and rural security.
Strengthening the work of beautifying rural areas, creating a clear change in the appearance, appearance and landscape of rural areas towards "bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe". Promoting administrative reform, building e-government; arranging and organizing the apparatus, standardizing the staff and civil servants towards streamlining and efficiency, gradually building a service-oriented administration, ensuring satisfaction in all aspects of the people.
At the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong presented the decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman recognizing the commune as meeting the new rural standards to the Party Committee, government and people of Vinh Khe commune; awarded a welfare project worth 300 million VND to the locality.
Vinh Linh district donated a welfare project worth 500 million VND to Vinh Khe commune. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province donated 40 million VND and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Linh district donated 10 million VND to Vinh Khe commune to take care of policy beneficiaries in the area.
On this occasion, the Chairman of Vinh Linh District People's Committee and the Chairman of Vinh Khe Commune People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to many collectives and individuals with high achievements in building new rural areas in Vinh Khe.
