Appreciating the full and thoughtful preparation of the working report with the delegation, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong commented: Through the field survey in Muong Nhe yesterday, March 19, 2025, it was noted that the district has made many positive efforts in socio-economic development (especially border gate economy, tourism), national defense and security, and foreign affairs have been comprehensively implemented. In order to thoroughly prepare for the 14th National Party Congress, the province is requested to closely follow the orientations of the Party and State in the draft political report of the Congress, as well as the Party building reports of the sub-committees. Continue to carry out the institutional revolution, streamline and reorganize the apparatus; stabilize to ensure rapid and sustainable development. In addition, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that Dien Bien province needs to pay special attention to the leadership, direction and effective implementation of the National Target Programs; strive to comprehensively complete the targets on education and health. In particular, economic development must be linked to the task of ensuring national defense and security and effectively exploiting the economic potential of border gates, in order to create a driving force for comprehensive development for the locality. Receiving the recommendations of the province, the working group will synthesize and report to the National Assembly in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong thanked the Party, State and National Assembly leaders for their attention to Dien Bien province in recent years. In order to effectively implement the set goals and tasks, Dien Bien proposed a number of contents that it hopes the Central Government, the Government and the National Assembly will support the province in terms of policies, opening international flights, connecting airports with Laos, Thailand, China, Russia, etc., thereby contributing to promoting local tourism development; along with that, there are priority policies for developing the agricultural and forestry sector, the province's strengths; supporting resources to help Dien Bien develop, leading the country in the field of digital transformation; promoting the exploitation of renewable energy such as wind power, solar power, biomass power, etc.
