Song Cong City: Urging the progress of implementing public investment projects

On March 19, Song Cong City Party Committee held a conference to urge the progress of public investment projects in the area.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Song Cong City, the locality is currently managing and implementing 33 public investment projects. Of which, there are 18 transitional projects (4 projects to build roads, 14 projects to build infrastructure for residential areas and urban areas), 15 projects preparing for investment, starting new construction in 2025. The total capital plan assigned for implementation in 2025 is over 605 billion VND, up to now, the locality has only disbursed over 5.94 billion VND of the capital plan (reaching 1.47%)...

At the conference, representatives of the city's specialized departments and offices reviewed the progress of each project and proposed plans to speed up the disbursement of capital. The review also showed that some projects (mainly residential areas) did not have a clean water source to connect to, or had not installed wastewater treatment equipment, so the project could not be accepted.

Many projects are still stuck in the site clearance stage because some households whose land is recovered do not cooperate and do not agree with the compensation, support and resettlement plan, leading to the contractor having to temporarily suspend construction for a long time, affecting the recovery of advances, disbursement of capital and project implementation progress. Including the Song Cong - Nui Coc tourist road project and residential areas, functional areas on both sides of this road (area number 1, area number 2)...

Concluding the Conference, the leader of Song Cong City Party Committee requested the City People's Committee to continue to pay attention and coordinate with the provincial departments and branches to speed up the progress of project appraisal, project adjustment appraisal, construction design; coordinate with Thai Nguyen Clean Water Joint Stock Company to speed up the investment progress of installing clean water systems in some communes and wards in the city to ensure clean water supply for some residential construction projects and neighboring areas.

Along with that, the leader of Song Cong City Party Committee requested the Party Committees of communes, wards, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations of the city to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to properly implement the State's policies and laws to promptly resolve difficulties in site clearance for project implementation, especially key projects and land use rights auction projects in the area...
