Focus on key projects, create highlights
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province, the global financial crisis and economic downturn have affected the economic development of the country in general and Vinh Phuc province in particular; the tourism service market has decreased; prices of raw materials and supplies are unstable. The capital demand for building tourism infrastructure projects is large, but the capital source for public investment is limited, not meeting the development needs.
In the period of 2017 - 2023, the total state budget capital invested by Vinh Phuc province in the tourism sector is 2,285 billion VND, of which the state budget invested in infrastructure in the tourist area is 159.1 billion VND (accounting for 6.9% of the province's total investment capital in tourism). Vinh Phuc focuses resources on investing in key projects to create highlights for tourism development with a total capital of key projects of 2,193 billion VND, accounting for 93.1% of the province's budget capital invested in tourism.
In order to create a breakthrough in developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector of the province, in recent years the province has always focused on upgrading and developing tourism infrastructure with public investment capital, projects focusing mainly on construction items such as roads, lighting, water supply and drainage...
Gradually affirming the brand of resort tourism and spiritual tourism
In addition to investment from the State budget, Vinh Phuc province has been proactive in making detailed plans for areas with potential tourism advantages; proactively allocating land funds for tourism investment projects.
There are currently 17 major projects with a total investment of more than 9,600 billion VND being implemented in Vinh Phuc.
Typical projects include: Flamingo Dai Lai Project, meeting 5-star standards with a total registered investment capital of VND 4,630.46 billion (of which phase 2 is VND 3,560.81 billion), phase 1 has been put into operation; Tam Dao II Project of SunGroup Corporation with a total investment capital of phase 1 of VND 2,987 billion; FLC Luxury Resort Vinh Phuc Project (phase 1 has been put into operation, total investment implemented is about VND 600 billion); Tay Thien cable car project of Lac Hong Investment Joint Stock Company, investment capital is VND 245 billion (has been put into operation)...
In the period of 2017-2023, the whole province has about 36 DDI (domestic capital) projects investing in the tourism sector with a total committed capital of VND 20,612 billion, of which VND 11,336 billion has been implemented, reaching 55% of the committed capital.
Vinh Phuc is actively mobilizing and implementing solutions to attract large investors to invest in urban areas combined with tourism, large-scale eco-tourism and entertainment areas with committed investment values from investors such as: Vinh Thinh - An Tuong Eco-tourism Urban Area Project with committed capital of 1.1 billion USD; Tam Dao II Project of about 1 billion USD; International horse racing track project with investment capital of about 1.44 billion USD... These are projects that will have a strong impact, contributing to transforming the economic structure of the province towards gradually increasing the proportion of services, making Vinh Phuc one of the key tourism provinces of the country.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province, the local tourism industry has also received strong attention and direction from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee by issuing many resolutions, action programs, plans and tourism development plans as a solid foundation, creating momentum to build and develop tourism to truly become a spearhead economic sector.
The system of documents has been deployed synchronously to all levels, sectors and localities. Management and guidance on culture, tourism and services have been strictly implemented, initially creating a brand for the province in resort tourism and spiritual tourism in key tourist areas such as Dai Lai, Tam Dao, Tay Thien, Vinh Yen, etc.
