At the 17th session (special session) on the morning of July 31, the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province considered and decided on personnel work under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
With 100% approval from the delegates present, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, was elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Previously, on the morning of July 30, Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Secretariat on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Tran Duy Dong (born in 1979, hometown in Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province), is a Doctor of Economic Management, Master of Public Policy, with advanced theoretical qualifications.
Mr. Dong has spent many years working at the Ministry of Planning and Investment, holding the positions of Director of the Department of Economic Zone Management, Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy. In October 2020, Mr. Dong was appointed Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.
On July 22, 2024, the Central Party Secretariat issued a Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Duy Dong to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
