Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Secretary of Yen Lac District Party Committee and Ms. Phung Thi Kim Nga, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission were elected as Vice Chairmen of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
On the afternoon of October 18, the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province, term XVII, 2021 - 2026, held the 18th session (special session) to consider and decide on a number of important contents under the authority of the Provincial People's Council, and at the same time dismiss a vice chairman of the Provincial People's Council, elect a vice chairman of the Provincial People's Council and two vice chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee.
With a very high number of votes of confidence, the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province elected Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Secretary of Yen Lac District Party Committee and Ms. Phung Thi Kim Nga, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Also at the meeting, delegates of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Council voted to elect members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021 - 2026 for Mr. Vu Chi Giang, Director of the Department of Construction; Ms. Do Thi Hong Nhung, Director of the Department of Finance; Mr. Hoang Long Bien, Director of the Department of Transport and Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism Ngo Chi Tue.
The People's Council of Vinh Phuc province also dismissed Mr. Dinh Ngoc Huan from his duties as a delegate of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, so that Mr. Huan could take on a new assignment.
The Provincial People's Council dismissed Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, former Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Mr. Bui Hong Do, former Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from the positions of members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term due to transfer to other jobs.
The meeting discussed and voted to pass 6 resolutions, including the Resolution on tuition support for preschool children, primary school students, and students studying continuing education programs at high school level in Vinh Phuc province in the 2024-2025 school year.
With the adoption of the Resolution on tuition support for preschool children, high school students, and students studying continuing education programs at high school level in Vinh Phuc province in the 2024-2025 school year, Vinh Phuc is the 9th province in the country to exempt tuition fees for preschool children and high school students, affirming the province's special attention to social security.
Accordingly, the total budget to support 100% of tuition fees for preschool children, primary school students at public and non-public primary, secondary and high schools, and students studying continuing education programs in Vinh Phuc province in the 2024-2025 school year is about 142 billion VND from the provincial budget.
From the following school years, Vinh Phuc will continue to support tuition fees for preschool children, high school students, and students studying the regular high school education program in the province according to the new tuition fee framework and stabilize the budget for the period 2025 - 2028.
