Opening of the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province, term 2024-2029

On the afternoon of August 15, at the Vinh Phuc Provincial Convention Center, the first session of the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Vinh Phuc province, term 2024 - 2029, took place.

The 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province took place with the theme: "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development".

Attending the Congress were Mr. Bui Huy Vinh - Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc Province; Representatives of the Party Building Committees, the Provincial Party Committee Office, socio-political organizations and 257 official delegates representing all walks of life of Vinh Phuc Province's people.

The 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province, term 2024 - 2029, takes place at a time when the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Vinh Phuc province are striving to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels of Vinh Phuc province and the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party. The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 158/QD-TTg dated February 6, 2024 approving the Planning of Vinh Phuc province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province approved the Personnel Plan and Consultation to elect the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province, term XV.

Faced with the great demands of the cause of building and developing Vinh Phuc province in the new period, the Congress has the task of comprehensively assessing the situation and results of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Fatherland Front, term 2019 - 2024, setting out directions, goals and action programs for the term 2024 - 2029.

With the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress unanimously resolved to enhance the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, promote the tradition and strength of the Great National Unity, and contribute to building a prosperous and happy Vinh Phuc.

Mr. Vu Van Bang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province presented the review report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province, term 2019-2024.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Vinh Phuc province has always closely followed the comprehensive leadership of Party committees at all levels, and coordinated increasingly closely and effectively with authorities at all levels and member organizations. The content and methods of operation have been innovated, "focusing on the grassroots, taking residential areas as the place to deploy activities".

Delegates visited booths displaying specialties of localities in Vinh Phuc province.

Forms of gathering the Great National Unity bloc are diversified, focusing on promoting the Advisory Council, Advisory Board, core team, prestigious people, and exemplary individuals.

Emulation campaigns and movements are deployed with focus and key points, arousing the spirit of emulation, creative labor and the joint efforts of the whole community, bringing practical results.

Delegates representing ethnic minorities attended the Congress.

The work of caring for the lives of the poor and people in difficult circumstances continues to receive attention and achieves many important results, contributing to ensuring social security and sustainable poverty reduction.

The work of social supervision and criticism, participation in Party and government building continued to be strengthened and achieved many results, more clearly demonstrating the representative role in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, association members and the People.

Summing up the 2019-2024 term, 9/9 targets have been achieved and exceeded the targets set by the Resolution of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of Vinh Phuc province, term 2019-2024.

The achievements of the Front's work in the past term have great significance and importance, creating consensus in society, together with Party committees at all levels, the government and the people to successfully implement the goals and tasks of economic, cultural and social development, political security is maintained, the Great Unity bloc is strengthened and expanded, firmly protecting the Fatherland, contributing to achieving and exceeding the targets and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

According to the leader of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province, with the results achieved in the past term, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has been recognized and rewarded by the Provincial Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and was especially honored to receive the Third Class Independence Medal from the President.

According to the Vinh Phuc Provincial Fatherland Front, the above results were achieved thanks to the attention, guidance and direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the comprehensive leadership of Party committees at all levels, and the increasingly effective coordination of authorities at all levels.

The proactiveness and positivity of member organizations; the dynamism, creativity, and correct identification of the core and key tasks of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province; the efforts and enthusiasm of the staff working for the Front from the province to the grassroots level; especially the activities of the Front are increasingly practical, closely linked to the direct interests of the people, receiving the attention and response of the whole society.

At the first session, delegates consulted to elect the Presidium and Secretariat of the Congress; approved the Program and Working Regulations of the Congress; and reported on the situation of delegates attending the Congress.

Delegates also listened to the review report of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term 2019-2024; Report summarizing comments on the draft Political Report submitted to the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province; Report summarizing comments on the draft Documents of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and suggestions for amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX; Approval of the personnel plan and consultation on the election of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XV, term 2024-2029.

67 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province, term XV, 2024-2029, were introduced to the Congress.

At the first working session, delegates participated in discussions and assessments to clarify the results of activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels of Vinh Phuc province and its member organizations in all aspects of work.

At the Congress, delegates consulted and elected 67 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province, term XV, 2024-2029.

Earlier, in the afternoon of the same day, delegates attending the Congress offered incense and reported their achievements at Uncle Ho's Memorial House. They also offered incense at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs of Vinh Phuc Province.
