Meeting with the Propaganda and Press Department of 9 provinces in Military Region 2

Awarding certificates of merit to collectives with achievements in propaganda coordination between Military Region II and 9 provinces.

The activity took place according to the Regulations on coordination of propaganda and education on national defense strategy and local military and defense tasks between the Political Department of Military Region 2 and the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, press agencies, radio and television stations of the 9 above-mentioned provinces.

Accordingly, in 2023, the coordination of propaganda work closely followed the requirements of political tasks, organized and implemented methodically, scientifically, with focus and key points, carried out in phases and streaks, reflecting the activities of the armed forces of the Military Region and localities in implementing the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2020-2025; resolutions, conclusions, and directives of the 13th Central Executive Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat; laws, decrees, and circulars of the State, Government, and ministries.

Every month and quarter, following the direction of the Provincial Party Committee's Political Department and Propaganda Department, press agencies have spent a lot of time promptly reflecting on the good and creative ways of the units in promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", resolutely fighting against individualism in the new situation; the results of implementing the spirit of "7 dares" under the direction of General Secretary, Secretary of the Central Military Commission Nguyen Phu Trong and implementing emulation movements; the results of training, drills, building regulations, training discipline, etc.

The Propaganda Departments of the provinces have focused on communication work through cultural, artistic and highland film screening activities; oral propaganda activities through reporters and propagandists at all levels; regularly organized monthly conferences for reporters; compiled propaganda documents to promptly provide information and propaganda on the implementation of military and national defense tasks.

In the process of coordinating propaganda, press agencies have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the principles and purposes of revolutionary journalism. The content of news and articles always ensures accuracy of information, richness in content and form of expression, highlighting the spirit of overcoming difficulties, innovation and creativity of collectives and individuals in performing tasks. Through that, people have more trust in the army and encourage officers and soldiers of the Military Region's armed forces to successfully carry out assigned tasks.

The Political Department of Military Region 2 has closely coordinated with the Propaganda Departments of the provinces to strictly implement Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation"; unifying the process of handling complicated and sensitive cases on cyberspace; mobilizing and expanding the number of members to participate in writing articles to directly combat information and arguments distorting and sabotaging the Party, State, Army, Party committees and local authorities of hostile forces...

In 2023, agencies and units in the Military Region's armed forces closely coordinated with press agencies to promote propaganda on the results of the implementation of the Project "Promoting the role of the People's Army in participating in the dissemination and education of law, mobilizing people to comply with the law at the grassroots level for the period 2021-2027" (Project 1371). Focus on reflecting, disseminating, replicating, and spreading good models, creative, practical, and effective ways of doing things, such as the model: "Learning indigenous ethnic languages" of Division 316 and the Economic-Defense Groups; "Learning one law every day" of Division 316 and the brigades; "Self-governing clans"; "Cultural villages without social evils"; "Mobile legal propaganda team" "Village without child marriage and incestuous marriage"...

At the conference, delegates discussed, evaluated and proposed solutions to strengthen the coordination of propaganda between the Political Department of Military Region 2 and the Propaganda Department, newspapers and radio stations of 9 provinces to be systematic, close and effective, with comprehensive propaganda content and richer and more diverse forms.

On this occasion, the Political Department of Military Region 2 awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 32 individuals for their achievements in coordinating propaganda between Military Region 2 and 9 provinces in Military Region 2 in 2023.
