(Vinhlong.gov.vn) – According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee on the results of implementing the National Master Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and the Plan to implement the National Master Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the socio-economic infrastructure system continues to be prioritized for investment and implementation, especially key infrastructure projects such as inter-provincial and inter-regional transport infrastructure, ensuring efficiency and system connectivity.

Accordingly, in terms of basic traffic infrastructure to meet the travel needs of people and serve production and business, 100% of communes have car roads to the commune center. In the period of 2021-2024, the province continues to prioritize investment in a number of key traffic projects (Investment project of the Road Project from National Highway 53 - Hoa Phu Industrial Park (DT.909B) - Phu Loc Bau Goc Road - National Highway 1, Vinh Long province, Project to upgrade and expand DT 903 (section from the roundabout of Cai Nhum town to DT 902), Ring Road 1 Project, Vinh Liem district, Vinh Long province, Vinh Long Bus Station Project (Phase 1), Provincial Road 907 Phase 2...); Preparing to invest in projects such as Dinh Khao bridge connecting Vinh Long and Ben Tre provinces, National Highway 57 bypass project (Dinh Khao bridge approach road), etc. At the same time, Vinh Long province has actively coordinated with the Ministry of Transport, People's Committees of related provinces to implement important transport projects such as My Thuan 2 bridge project and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge (Tien Giang, Vinh Long), My Thuan - Can Tho expressway, etc. The agricultural and rural infrastructure system continues to be completed and improved; many important irrigation projects have been completed and are being implemented, the province has actively coordinated with central ministries and branches in implementing the Mekong DPO project (Mang Thit river dyke (phase 2) - Hau river embankment through Binh Minh town, Vinh Long province); contributing to meeting the goals of regulating, preventing salinity, protecting rice and fruit growing areas, developing rural transport; promoting agricultural structure, linking production. Infrastructure of industrial zones and clusters continues to receive attention and direction to attract investment for development. Continue to deploy resettlement areas and support investors in implementing investment procedures for infrastructure of Dong Binh and Gilimex industrial zones; Thuan An industrial cluster, Tan Binh industrial cluster. Up to now, the ratio of industrial and service land of Hoa Phu and Binh Minh industrial zones leased has reached 96.82%; the area of ​​land deployed/leased land has reached 80.45%.

Regarding energy infrastructure, up to now, the province has 500kV power lines, 01 220kV transformer station with a capacity of 500MVA and 04 220kV power lines with a length of 152.9km, 10 110kV power lines with a length of 143.97km with 06 110kV transformer stations with a capacity of 440MVA; 2,047km of medium voltage lines, 3,303km of low voltage lines, 3,798 transformer stations with a total capacity of 4,628MVA. At the same time, the province has 01 solar power plant with a capacity of 49.3MW and 1,740 rooftop solar power systems with a total capacity of 52.9 MWp, of which 64 systems are from 100KWp or more.

Fixed broadband telecommunications infrastructure meets 100% of service needs to communes, wards and towns in the province; postal infrastructure is strongly developed, meeting people's information exchange needs. The fixed broadband subscription rate reaches 24.5 subscribers/100 people; the mobile broadband subscription rate reaches 91.2 subscribers/100 people; the rate of households using fiber optic cable reaches 74.1%.

Investment in construction and development of urban technical infrastructure according to approved urban construction plans and urban development programs has attracted and developed modern forms of trade and services, improved urban economic efficiency, and connected urban areas in the province and in the region; to date, the province has 08/08 urban areas that have been recognized as urban types. For the 03 towns subject to rearrangement, the Provincial People's Committee has recognized the 03 towns of Long Ho, Tra On, and Tam Binh formed after the rearrangement to meet the criteria for type V urban areas. By 2024, the urbanization rate will reach 28.7%, the average housing floor area per person will reach about 28.7m2 of floor/person. Water supply infrastructure: Improve the quality of water supply services, the rate of households using clean water from the centralized water supply system in urban areas will reach 99.3%; The rate of households using clean water from the centralized water supply system in rural areas reached 96%.

In addition, the activities of economic and social development cooperation with provinces and cities have been actively implemented, gradually going into depth and bringing practical results. Economic restructuring and growth model innovation have become increasingly practical and effective, improving the quality of development of sectors and fields. Labor quality and productivity have increased gradually over the years. Social security, culture, education, health care and environmental protection have been focused on. National defense and security in the province have been maintained stably; ensuring close combination between socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security.
