Vinataba to pay state budget more than 15,500 billion VND in 2024

(Dan Tri) - On December 17 in Hanoi, Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation (Vinataba) held a production and business conference in 2025.

The conference was attended and delivered a speech by Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises.

The report at the conference said that 2024 is an important year in promoting the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the Party Congress of Vietnam Tobacco Corporation for the 2020-2025 term.

Overcoming domestic difficulties and challenges and global geopolitical fluctuations, in 2024, the total revenue of the entire system reached over 35,000 billion VND, contributing more than 15,500 billion VND to the state budget. Average income of employees increased by 12% over the same period last year, reaching 25 million VND/person/month.

Export activities continue to grow in output and turnover, contributing to affirming the company's position in the international market.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh said that in November 2018, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises took over the ownership of state capital at Vinataba from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Over the past 6 years, the Committee has fully performed the functions and tasks assigned to the corporation; orienting, directing and accompanying the corporation every year.

On the business side, the corporation also effectively coordinated with the committee's functional units, closely following the committee's leaders' instructions to complete assigned tasks; becoming an integral part, creating common success.

Mr. Ho Le Nghia - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vinataba - affirmed that the corporation will seriously accept the instructions of superiors and commit to working with the collective of Party members and employees to continuously strive to best implement the directions in all aspects of Party building work and production and business tasks in 2025.

According to Mr. Ho Le Nghia, 2025 will be a particularly important year, a year focused on successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels, towards welcoming the 14th National Party Congress, and at the same time towards celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Tobacco Corporation.

In addition, it is forecasted that the regional and global situation will continue to have unpredictable fluctuations that may impact the Vietnamese economy. The tobacco industry will also continue to face major challenges due to high raw material prices, fierce market competition, and complicated developments in tobacco smuggling. Therefore, Vinataba said it will continue to promote the spirit of initiative and creativity; focus on boosting production and business activities and strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks, as a way to show gratitude and honor the 40-year journey of construction and development of the Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation (1985 - 2025).
