Vietnam ranks 6th in the number of students studying in the US.

The information was announced at the launching ceremony of the IBD.US@NEU international bachelor program recently organized by the Institute of International Education, National Economics University. The event marked the cooperation between National Economics University and two prestigious universities in the US: Boise State University and Andrews University.

At the launching ceremony, Deputy Economic Counselor, US Embassy in Vietnam Konstantin Dubrovsky said that Vietnam is the 6th country in terms of the number of students studying in the US.

There are currently more than 30,000 Vietnamese students studying at US educational institutions and another 300,000 students accessing US educational resources online.

The elevation of bilateral relations to a “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” in 2023 places a strong emphasis on education. The U.S. Embassy strongly supports educational partnerships, as they play a key role in promoting cultural exchange, enhancing understanding between countries, and shaping innovative approaches to business in a globalized world.

"The US Embassy is committed to creating a favorable environment for the strong development of partnerships between US and Vietnamese universities. From those who have participated in establishing this cooperation, I believe that it will be successful, discovering new areas of cooperation, improving academic quality, innovation and global understanding," Mr. Konstantin Dubrovsky emphasized.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu, Vice President of National Economics University, said that the IBD.US@NEU program officially enrolls students in the Fall semester of 2024.

According to Mr. Hieu, one of the important highlights of the program is innovation and connection with the business community. The National Economics University will integrate modern teaching methods, as well as provide students with unique, practical experience opportunities to help them develop their personal capacity to the fullest, without losing their individual identity.

The program is guaranteed dual training quality from the National Economics University and partner universities accredited by IACBE (Andrews University) and AACSB (Boise State University). Through the original curriculum from American partner universities and flexible learning model, students have the opportunity to transfer to the US with many scholarship incentives and reasonable tuition fees.

Within the framework of the launching ceremony, the International Training Institute signed a cooperation agreement between the National Economics University and businesses and high schools.

Upon completion of the program, IBD.US@NEU students will receive a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Andrews University or Boise State University.
