84 springs ago, on January 28, 1941, after 30 years of wandering to find a way to save the country, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc returned to Pac Bo, directly leading the Vietnamese revolution from one victory to another.

Today, Pac Bo National Special Relic Site is built spaciously, cleanly, beautifully, and worthy of its stature, becoming a "red" tourist destination for educating revolutionary traditions for generations, especially the young generation.

"RED ADDRESS" TOURISM BACK TO THE SOURCE

Pac Bo National Special Relic Site is about 55 km from Cao Bang city center. The relic site is located in Pac Bo hamlet, Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district.

Here, on January 28, 1941, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc and 5 comrades returned to the country through milestone 108 on the Vietnam - China border.

Moved by that special sacred moment, the late poet To Huu wrote verses that still resonate today and forever:

...“Oh this spring morning, Spring 41
White border forest blooming apricot blossoms
Uncle came back... Silence. The bird sang
The reed bank is singing happily in a daze
Uncle Ho is back, my country.
Missing you, the land warmed by people
Thirty years of restless legs
But just now arrived!”...
(Epic following Uncle Ho's footsteps)

Thanks to the investment and construction attention of all levels, sectors and localities, Pac Bo National Special Relic Site has been built spaciously, worthy of becoming a "red" destination for source tourism for many visitors from near and far.

Comrade Dao Van Mui, Director of the Management Board of Special National Monuments of Cao Bang province, shared that in 2024, the Management Board welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors to visit, offer incense and flowers to pay tribute to Uncle Ho at the Ho Chi Minh Temple in the relic site.

The temple of President Ho Chi Minh in the Pac Bo Special National Relic Site is located on a high hill, with strong winds all year round.

In the relic site, located on a high hill is the Ho Chi Minh Temple. The project was built with the support of Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi Capital and Nghe An Province. The Ho Chi Minh Temple was inaugurated and welcomed visitors to offer incense and flowers in May 2011, on the occasion of the 121st anniversary of his birth.

Below, opposite the central courtyard in the Relic Site is the Ho Chi Minh Road Km0 milestone. This is the starting point of a national arterial traffic route stretching from Cao Bang to Ca Mau with a total length of 3,167 km. The Ho Chi Minh Road Km0 milestone location is a favorite check-in and souvenir photo spot when visiting the Pac Bo Special National Relic Site.

Continuing inside the relic site, visitors will come to Lenin stream and Karl Marx mountain, where, during his days living and working in Pac Bo, he wrote the majestic poem Pac Bo:

Far away mountains, far away water
It is not called vastness
Here is Lenin stream, there is Marx mountain.
Two hands build a country.

Continuing the journey, entering the Relic Site, visitors will admire the charming landscape, with the clear, winding Lenin stream flowing as if telling an old story, years ago, Uncle Ho lived, worked, and fought with the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people to regain independence and freedom for the nation.

At the Coc Bo upstream relic cluster, there is Coc Bo cave, where Uncle Ho lived and worked in the early days after returning to the country. Here is the stone table where he sat and worked during those years.

Visiting the Pac Bo National Special Relic Site, tourist Tran Minh Hung from Hanoi was moved to share: "Coming to the Relic Site helps me understand more about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader, the Father of the nation who devoted and sacrificed his whole life for the people, for the country, for the happiness of the people."
