VASCO adds 2 flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau

On April 20, news from VASCO said that from April 19 to October 25, 2024, VASCO will increase the frequency of flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau and vice versa on Fridays and Sundays. Previously, this route only had 4 flights/week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Specifically, from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 2:05 p.m. and from Ca Mau at 3:30 p.m. On Friday and Sunday, depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 5:45 a.m. and depart from Ca Mau at 7:10 a.m.

VASCO adds 2 flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau

Ca Mau Airport is a level 4C airport, with a 2-level passenger terminal with a capacity of 200,000 passengers/year, 1 runway measuring 1,500m x 30m, ensuring the operation of ATR72 aircraft or equivalent.

Previously, the Ministry of Transport signed a decision approving the task of planning Ca Mau Airport for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

According to the master plan for the development of the national airport system, by 2030, Ca Mau Airport will be a level 4C airport with a capacity of 1 million passengers/year; by 2050, it will be a level 4C airport with a capacity of 3 million passengers/year. At the same time, maximizing the efficiency of the existing infrastructure of Ca Mau Airport to ensure meeting transportation needs, reasonably connecting with other modes of transportation; closely combining with ensuring national defense - security, safe exploitation...
