The world gold price hit a new peak, causing the domestic 9999 gold ring price to increase sharply on the morning of the weekend of August 17, far exceeding 78 million VND/tael. Currently, gold rings are only 1.7 million VND/tael away from the world gold price.
At around 9:30 a.m. on August 17, SJC Company listed 9999 gold rings at 77 million VND/tael for buying and 78.4 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 550,000 VND/tael for buying and 650,000 VND for selling compared to yesterday. Doji Group also increased 500,000 VND for buying and 700,000 VND for selling, trading Hung Thinh Vuong 9999 gold rings at 77 million VND/tael for buying and 78.4 million VND/tael for selling.
SJC gold bars are still listed by SJC Company, PNJ, and Doji Group at 78 million VND/tael for buying and 80 million VND/tael for selling, the price unchanged from yesterday.
On the world gold market, the closing price of gold at the end of the week in New York increased to 2,507.7 USD/ounce, up 51.4 USD compared to the previous session. The closing price of gold on the Kitco floor continued to increase to 2,508.1 USD/ounce. This is the all-time highest price of gold in the world. This price after conversion is equivalent to 76.7 million VND/tael, about 3.3 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold and about 1.7 million VND/tael lower than 9999 ring gold.
The world gold price set a new record above 2,500 USD/ounce after 2 weeks of struggling. Gold bulls imposed their will on the market as the gold market was supported by continued geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the possibility that the US Federal Reserve (FED) will start cutting interest rates in September.
