This morning (March 24), traffic jams lasted for a long time on the Ring Road 3 elevated road.

Instead of being allowed to travel at 80km/h, from last night and this morning, cars from Mai Dich intersection onto the Ring Road 3 elevated road have been given signs asking them to "Go slow" and "Construction site ahead".

When going up the elevated road, many signs asking drivers to "Go Slow" continue to be posted at many locations.

Due to the large number of vehicles and slow traffic speed, this morning there was a long traffic jam on the elevated Ring Road 3.

Traffic is difficult right from the ramp to the elevated road section Mai Dich - Thang Long Avenue intersection - the area with the repair site.

Long traffic jam occurred on Mai Dich - Phap Van - Thanh Tri bridge route.

In addition to the large number of cars, the elevated Ring Road 3 is currently a road through the heart of Hanoi, so every day there are a large number of trucks, containers, and passenger cars running through Hanoi.

Starting last night (March 23), the Traffic Works Maintenance Board, Hanoi Department of Construction, carried out a project to repair expansion joints and bearings - piers of the elevated Ring Road 3. On the evening of March 23, traffic congestion also lasted until midnight.

Because the expansion joints are damaged, causing inconvenience for traffic, in the first phase (from March 23), construction units will close the road (half of the roadway will be closed during the day, and the entire elevated road of Ring Road 3 will be closed at night) from Mai Dich to the Thang Long Avenue intersection to repair the expansion joints.

From March 23 to April 27, on the elevated road from Mai Dich to Thang Long Avenue, construction units will barricade half of the elevated road surface of Ring Road 3 at 9 expansion joint locations that need repair, and vehicles will travel on the remaining half of the road surface at the construction locations, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

At night from 10pm to 6am the following morning, all vehicles are banned from circulating on the elevated Ring Road 3 from Mai Dich overpass to Thang Long Avenue.

During the above ban period, the Hanoi Department of Construction will implement a traffic diversion plan and organize traffic for vehicles on the elevated Ring Road 3, Mai Dich - Thang Long Avenue intersection in the following direction: The elevated Ring Road 3 down to the Mai Dich overpass (parallel urban overpass branch), Pham Van Dong Street will change traffic direction on Pham Hung Street (lower Ring Road 3) - through the Pham Hung - Khuat Duy Tien intersection, then onto the elevated Ring Road 3 at the entrance on Khuat Duy Tien Street (opposite Thang Long Number One building) to go to Phap Van.
