Latest information on enrollment 2025: National Economics University increases 550 enrollment targets

On March 28, the 2025 regular university admissions council of the National Economics University met and approved the 2025 admissions information (updated admissions plan).

Compared to the enrollment plan announced by this University in December 2024, the updated plan clarifies some contents such as: the total enrollment target is 8,500. Of which, regular university is 8,200; regular university transfer is 300. Compared to 2024 (total target is 7,950), the total target in 2025 increases by 550 (nearly 7%).

The second specific information given is that this year the school will enroll 73 codes (an increase of 7 codes compared to 2024), including: 66 enrollment codes in 2024 (39 training program codes in Vietnamese; 20 training program codes in English; 7 application-oriented training program codes (POHE); 7 new enrollment codes in 2025 (2 new training majors in Vietnamese: International Commercial Law and Labor Relations, 2 advanced training program codes (including 5 programs), 3 high-quality training program codes (16 programs).

Third, the admission method remains the same as in 2024: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training is 3% of the total target; admission based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores and combined admission based on the admission information of the National Economics University is 97% of the remaining total target.

The admission method combines candidates with SAT, ACT certificates; with the competency assessment test of 2 National Universities (HSA; APT) and the thinking assessment test of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (TSA); with international English certificates IELTS/TOEFL iBT/TOEIC 4 skills combined with the 2025 high school graduation exam score or combined with HSA, APT, TSA exams.

For the first time, advanced, high-quality training programs will be recruited from the beginning with 5 separate codes (2 advanced training program codes and 3 high-quality training program codes). In 2024, these programs will recruit students after they are admitted.

Regarding the new point in this year's admission, schools must determine the conversion rules for equivalent input thresholds and admission scores between admission methods. The National Economics University will follow the general instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training according to the admission regulations and will announce them immediately after the Ministry of Education and Training issues instructions.
