On March 28, the Minhe ship of the Hong Kong (China) SITC Container Line carrying nearly 1,000 TEUs of general cargo docked at Phuoc An port (Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai). This is the first ship to be transferred from the international service route at Tan Cang - Cat Lai to operate at Phuoc An port.
This event contributes to effectively meeting the increasing demand for international import and export of goods in the Southern region, while helping to optimize capacity through key port clusters.

Mr. Truong Hoang Hai - General Director of Phuoc An Port - said that the event of SITC MINHE ship docking at Phuoc An Port is a testament to the port's operational and exploitation capacity. With its strategic location, modern infrastructure and optimization in operation, the event marks an important turning point, opening up opportunities to attract more international shipping partners in the coming time, contributing to promoting and improving the efficiency of import and export processes in Dong Nai province and the Southern key economic region.
The event of SITC MINHE ship docking at Phuoc An port also marks the cooperation between Saigon Newport Corporation and Phuoc An Port Investment and Exploitation Petroleum Joint Stock Company to meet the increasing import and export needs of large and small enterprises in Vietnam.
Phuoc An Port will act as one of the strategic transit points in the ecosystem of Saigon Newport Corporation, especially supporting the optimization of port operations and enhancing cargo connections from key industrial parks in Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast economic region.

The two sides committed to jointly build synchronous and effective logistics solutions with the best service quality for shipping lines and customers. In particular, synchronous preferential policies from both Saigon New Port and Phuoc An Port will be deployed and applied to partner shipping lines, including SITC, to encourage opening routes and maintaining long-term operations at Phuoc An Port.
Phuoc An Port is planned with a total of 9 container berths and 4 barge berths, divided into 3 development phases. The port is capable of receiving ships with a capacity of 100,000 DWT, with a scale and operating capacity of 7 million TEUs.
With a strategic location in Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province - the center of the Southern key economic region, Phuoc An Port strives to become one of the important logistics centers, creating favorable conditions for import and export enterprises and contributing to the economic development of the region.
