Japanese Yen exchange rate continues to recover and increase in value
Japanese Yen exchange rate surveyed on the morning of April 4, 2024 at specific banks is as follows:
At Vietcombank, the buying rate is 159.55 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 168.87 VND/JPY, an increase of 0.46 VND in the buying direction and an increase of 0.49 VND in the selling direction.
At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.27 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 160.57 VND/JPY and 170.27 VND/JPY.
At BIDV, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.43 VND in buying and increased by 0.47 VND in selling, reaching 160.37 VND/JPY and 168.94 VND/JPY, respectively.
At Eximbank, the buying and selling prices increased by 0.42 VND, respectively at 162.24 VND/JPY and 166.95 VND/JPY.
At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.38 VND in buying and increased by 0.44 VND in selling with prices of 158.04 VND/JPY and 170.54 VND/JPY, respectively.
At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.4 VND in buying and increased by 0.44 VND in selling, corresponding to the prices of 162.8 VND/JPY and 167.85 VND/JPY.
According to the survey, today Sacombank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and Eximbank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the banks.
USD continues to decline sharply
USD exchange rate today April 4, 2024, USD VCB continues to increase by 80 VND in both buying and selling directions, while the world USD continues to decrease sharply.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank is adjusted to 24,020 VND/USD, an increase of 15 VND compared to the trading session on April 3.
Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,171 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,171 VND/USD.
The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of upward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,760 and a selling price of 25,130, an increase of 80 VND compared to the trading session on April 3. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.
In the world market, the Dollar Index (DXY), measuring the USD against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 104.27 points - down 0.53% compared to the transaction on April 3.
Gold continues to increase shockingly
Today, SJC gold reversed and decreased slightly, while world gold increased dramatically, breaking all records and setting a new peak at nearly 2,300 USD/ounce.

SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 79.00 - 80.95 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 79.00 - 81.15 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,299.52 USD/ounce, a difference of 19.82 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 68.406 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 10.694 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Domestic coffee prices increase sharply, surpassing 100,000 VND/kg
Updated at 4:24 a.m. on April 4, 2024, domestic coffee prices increased rapidly, increasing from 2,800 - 3,000 VND/kg, exceeding 100,000 VND/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 101,600 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 101,700 VND/kg.
Specifically, coffee was purchased in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces at the price of 101,500 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee was purchased at the highest price of 101,700 VND/kg.
Green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, are purchased at 101,200 VND/kg.
In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee is purchased at about 101,400 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 101,500 VND/kg.
