According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Van Thien - Ben En road project started construction in August 2022, with a length of 12.19 km and a total investment of VND 1,181 billion. This route is expected to help effectively exploit the potential and advantages of Ben En National Park in the future. The Van Thien - Ben En road project runs through two districts of Nhu Thanh and Nong Cong in Thanh Hoa province. The end point of the project is the Ben En National Park tourist area, located in Nhu Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province.

According to the design, the project has 4 lanes, the roadbed width is 33 m (of which, the road surface width is 22 m, the median width is 5 m and the sidewalk width is 6 m). The land acquisition area is 69.2 ha with 822 households affected.

This project is invested by Thanh Hoa Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the construction unit includes a consortium of contractors: Central Construction Group Joint Stock Company, Minh Tuan Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, Huy Hoan Construction and Trading Investment Joint Stock Company, Bridge and Road Construction Investment Joint Stock Company.

The project will create conditions to expand development space to the southwest of Thanh Hoa province for Nong Cong and Nhu Thanh districts, effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of tourism, ecology, resorts and entertainment services of Ben En National Park.

The Van Thien - Ben En route was approved to exploit the potential and advantages of Ben En National Park, serve tourism development and gradually complete the local transport network, especially connecting with the North-South expressway to help people travel conveniently.

It is known that Ben En National Park has an area of ​​about 15,000 hectares, mainly primary forest with an extremely diverse and rich flora and fauna ecosystem. This place is also surrounded by rivers, notably the Muc River, which is more than 4,000 hectares wide. The lake surface is always calm and blue all year round, creating a charming landscape and is likened to "Ha Long on land" of Thanh Hoa province.

Ben En National Park (located in the administrative boundaries of Nhu Xuan and Nhu Thanh districts, 45 km southwest of Thanh Hoa city) has a natural area of ​​nearly 15,000 hectares with a diverse ecosystem of flora and fauna. It is an attractive scientific research and ecotourism site, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.
