Coach Troussier stated his opinion that he considers 16-year-old or 35-year-old players the same, whoever performs well will be given a chance. "I do not close the door to any player. However, I have certain player choices in mind. As a coach, I have to predict the performance of the players on the field. I want to give equal opportunities to the players. Wait until the end of October, I will have an ideal list. There are 60 players who can compete for a position in the Vietnam team," the French coach affirmed.
The U.23 Southeast Asian Championship is a good stepping stone for players to score points. Recently, 10 Southeast Asian champions have been called up to the Vietnam U.23 team to compete in the U.23 Asia qualifiers. At the 19th ASIAD, the U.23 team led by Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan will embark on a more difficult journey.
