In his speech at the ceremony, Chairman of Dong Da District People's Committee Le Tuan Dinh said that in the spring of the year Ky Dau 1789, under the talented and creative command of Emperor Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, the Tay Son army launched a lightning-fast attack, defeated 290,000 Manchu troops, won the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory, and liberated Thang Long Citadel.
This was the greatest and most glorious victory in the history of our nation's resistance against foreign invaders and will forever be the pride of the nation. The battle of Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da demonstrated the military art of the "plain-cloth, red-flag hero" Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, which was "Lightning Speed - Boldness - Surprise". With this great victory, our nation defeated the invasion of the Manchu army, maintaining national independence.
The Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da Victory and the name and career of the great Emperor Quang Trung have become shining examples of intelligence, skillful military art, representing the tradition of patriotism and indomitable spirit against foreign invaders.

This year's Dong Da Mound Festival will be held for 3 days, from February 2-4, 2025 (ie from January 5-7, At Ty year 2025).
Many special activities during this year's festival include: incense offering and sacrificial ceremonies by local sacrificial groups; palanquin procession; lion and dragon dance performances; Binh Dinh Gia martial arts performances; chess and human chess competitions; calligraphy writing, and introduction of traditional arts.
